Hi guys, I hope im posting this in the right spot!

 

SO I have played DA:I for over 90 hours now with two characters: 

 

1) Aiyyu, my female human inquisitor who specializes in Tempest/Bow early and tempest/rogue current. (nightmare difficulty ofc).

 

2) Akahamanah, my male DARK ELF inquisitor, who specializes in a Two handed Reaver warrior thing (currently deleted due to him being my first time ever character on nightmare. WAs fun but got bored).

 

So far as the game goes, I love it! But I do have couple of problems:

 

1) This is my first time ever playing a BIOWARE® game. Understanding inquisition itself  for me (other than the fact, that I have to save the world from a weird DEMON who wants to ascend as a god), is pretty hard. I do not know any of the characters hence I have not played any of the previous games. For me when I bought inquisition I was into COMBAT, Character creator, Diversity of skill builds etc etc. So I need help in understanding short or Long way in what is going on here? What is the big story in this game?  I currently finished Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts quest.

 

2) I am getting a tiny bit bored with everything that is going on here. It is kind of like... well I will be hated, but its mostly due to my character being a rogue. You see I HATE ROGUES GUTS INSIDE OUT! THEY SUCK NO MATTER WHAT YOUR DPS IS!!!!! I do right now with my tier 2 gear (im only lvl 15 so ) about 1 k dmg with 2 k crit dmg which i guess is ok or not i dont know... it just feels sloppy. I find that if my main character was a warrior 1-h sword, shield my dps would still be decent. Believe it or not I like that kinda slow combat ,where you smash sword into the guy, other guy comes behind you and stabs or casts spell and yet your just there, swinging your sword and saying: Oh hell you wanna backstab me? Welp too bad mate, GUARD UP! turn around Invincibility and than boom get slapped with a shield or a sword or w/e and be like a complete god! DIEEEEEEEE!

 

haha went overboard there.

 

3) Question is: Romance: um... josephine? uum.. thats it? uum... ok idc really haha .Just curious if thats it?

4) Divine mothers and stuff. WTF is their purpose? I see them so failed and stupid and why is divine always a "SHE"? Oh the divine! The divine! Well im sorry but i dont see your mothers as divine holy stuff! I see my inquisitor (god I hate myself for not going 1-h sword shield I hate rogues to guts and gore but its ok for now ill ask this in a sec), being the and only divine here! Why? Because in a world gone mad, my companions suck in killing anything so who fights demons? ME! Who has the throne of a god in this game? ME! Who is the most badass killing machine here who will eventually beat crap out of demon god? ME! SO WTF? How am i not the ruler of Thedas (hope i spelled it right). How is the inquisitor not the godly figure instead of some weird maker knows what divine mother? I understand political powers blah blah, but game like this? Oh baby how can you not have included something like Power Ascension?  Oh and please! dont expect me to believe that your inquisitors are itty bitty good guys! blah blah blah! Its the age from the setting, where you restore and shape your world by your will!  Chantry has already failed so many times! I tried to justify chantry so many times now from resources im given to gain companions trust, be on their natural side and stuff, but im at the point of the game where im asked to consider divines and stuff so now i cant say enough but: IM FED UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SCREW YOUR DIVINES I DONT CARE BECAUSE BE IT A TWISTED BLOOD MAGE OR WHATEVER, BE IT A NECROMANCER? BE IT A KNIGHT OR A STUPID SPY LIKE LELIANA WHOS GUTS I HATE CAUSE SHE IS A PURE JERK (tactically speaking), The amount of power given to the inquisitor is so great and from players perspective Your more smart than any of them combined,  I can challenge them to duel, power spike, anything! Ill emerge victorious! I soloed a freaking Dragon for pete's sake and I wish i went assasin path not tempest (srsly tempest i thought would command stuff like electricity tornados and do whirlwind dances but all i got was potions that are good for nothing. Yes The freezing 1 is ok 85% dmg reduction is so gud BUT IM NOT A TANK IM A damage dealer jeesus christ).

 

5) Templars over mages? I made both decisions. Sided with both and god Templars are so much more awesome vs mages. People seem to say how powerful mages are and yet they suck ass because on nightmare, I can take down those mages since the beginning of the game like they are pure ashes! Can i ask why are they so scared of mages? Also really? Mages and staff stuff? Like LoTRO stuff? really... I wish devs at least 1ce thought about games (yes devs im adressing you little creatures! (sarcasm intended)) where you get to command Elements IN ARMOR AND SWORD! cant a sword control elements? please? like crash sword into ground animation and boom everyone becomes corpses! why? IDK supernatural haha

 

sorry guys im going overboard but its fun to post thoughts about this. I just am to a bit jumpy, excited and at the same time surprised that this was not thought of. Also I just really am asking questions. This is not a whiner complaint. Its a legitimately legitimate question of things i Do not understand. I am not asking devs to make new stuff yada yada. I am just asking about ideas views and stuff. For Example: You can kill mages because your a player not because they are not powerfull! and yet i can contradict by saying: Well how come the mages have not done something big like... well Cataclysmic? Opening fade portals? summoning demons?

 

6) Who are grey wardens? I see they fight undead.... ok and?

 

7) why is Dragon age called Dragon Age when it has to do with demons more than Dragons?

 

8) Who is Cole? I am confused with him I made him pure spirit now but i still do not get story of his

 

9) I totally skip codex entries... pls explain what are they! because i read couple and it was... referring to stuff that google sucks to explain

 

10) Can you change your character look in game?

 

11) can your inquisitor not run in pyjamas?

 

12) Inquisitor... speculation!!! : Can inquisitor in theory, conquer FADE!

 

13) Who is your favorite character to party with in party selection

 

14) How on earth is Vivienne so snobby?

 

15) Vivienne challenges everyone to power fight and yet she is the first to die in combat ironically, Pls explain

 

16) I hope for debates! Do not call em an idiot troller because thats just rude. I love this game and again im asking all this from anxiety to know what you think, how will you respond, what do die hard FANS think!!!!!!!!!!! Because the world of inquisition is amazingly interesting (combat tho needs work but babysteps come first devs eventually do learn).

 

17)... unknown question.. pls ask a question yourself (EXCLUDING stuff like: WHY IS THIS POST SO LONG BLAH BLAH how are you so retarded? NO INSULTS!)

Maybe you should play the first two games or read the books. The fans are going to be bias toward a certain faction, so you won't get any clear answer, unless you look for yourself.

I do understand it can not be explained in a nutshell and there is wiki out there ofc, however I read wiki and it does not make sense, not at least to me. I tried playing DA: O on pc ofc, but it was just... too sloppy controls were awkward it was like playing Half life 1 again from half life epiosde 2! advancing w controls is easy. reversing is hard! Also i got eyestrains from graphical perspective no offense you guys . I just want to engage with those who know the game and can kinda debate explain it etc etc. I will welcome any thoughts, opinions from anyone, not just die hard fans. I want to listen to your ideas! Your thoughts, Your view of the game! From my perspective i was crystal clear: As inquisitor you are like a god! from my experience I AM A GOD in DA:I but some stuff just is not justified so what is your opinion on chantry? On the divines? On mages? teplars? Why are mages feared? Ik its hard boring and probably time consuming to go through all this just to answer one post, however I want to reinforce a broader line of sight. IF I could get devs to get engaged into this topic and kind of explain their world a bit too, like what was there intension when making this world? it'd be great and valuable. More valuable than me going through game and forcing my self to figure it out! Ik answers cant be handled on the plate, and yet Im begging for some discussions! Please guys!!!!!!!!!

Grey Wardens are an ancient order of tainted warriors who fight darkspawn. Darkspawn are not undead they are men and women who have been tainted by the blight. The blight first came from the Tevinter Magisters who tried to usurp The Golden City,(Corypheus was one of those magisters) when they did they were cast out, twisted by their own corruption and became the first Darkspawn bringing the blight (tho there are theories suggesting other wise). When the world neared annihilation the first Grey Wardens drank darkspawn blood and mastered the taint making them resistant, it also grants them the ability to sense darkspawn. Only Grey Wardens can end the blight because if anyone besides a Grey Warden kills the Archdemon it will not be enough, its soul essence will pass to the nearest darkspawn and be reborn because a darkspawn is a souless vessel. A Grey Warden is not a souless vessel and when a Grey Warden slays an Archdemon its soul essence passes to the Grey Warden instead, destroying both (in death, sacrifice)

The Divine is always female well because that's just the way it is.

People fear mages because they are vulnerable to demonic possession because of their connection to the fade. Also an untrained mage has great potential of harming those around them as their powers flare with emotions. Vivienne couldn't have said it better "How do you think mages are discovered? A little girl has a nightmare and sets her house on fire in her sleep, a teenage boy throws a fit and rips his mother to pieces with lightning."

The inquisitor is not a God, just cuz he/she can close rifts doesn't make them a God, the power the inquisitor wields came from Corypheus's orb which is elven. Even tho your inquisition is powerful in forces and influence doesn't give you the right to rule Thedas (your starting to think like Corypheus lol) tho you are shaping a new Thedas for good or ill.

There is 8 romance options. Josephine, Cassandra, Sera, Dorian, Cullen, Blackwall, Solas and Iron Bull. Your human female Inquisitor can romance Josephine, Sera, Cullen, Blackwall or Iron Bull. Your male Inquisitor can romance Josephine, Cassandra, Dorian or Iron Bull.

4) Divine's are like Pope, leader of religion, instead of Catholic Christianity, Andrastian religion. Not everyone can become Divine, it's position of poltical and religious influence not physical strenght. And they are woman's cause the Maker (=God of Andrastian religion) chose Andraste (woman) from all humans as his beloved one.

 

5) Mages are OP compared to common people and also demons can possess them easily (which usually resolts in people dying). Also Andrastian religion spreads everyone information that magic is bad and people dislike this place called Tevinter that is run by mages.

 

6) Grey Wardens are order that fights Darkspawn. They drink darkspawns blood so they don't become ghouls when fighting them unlike common people when exposed too much to their taint.

 

8) Cole is spirit that ended up in the real world from the fade and is thus confused about lot of things. His story is told in one of Draon Age novels, Asunder.

 

10) Not yet but this might become a feature.

 

11) If you play with PC and want to use mods, I think there is already some around, at least I have seen screenshots.

I see! well with inquisitor being a god it was sarcasm haha i guess people did not really get it, and yet Your inquisitor is the force to be reckoned with. Yes you were given powers through the orb, However, you got the power and its a finders/keepers relationship. The demon wanted that power, you being mistake whatnot does not mean that you do not possess power to destroy the world you live in right now. Possessions by demons.. makes awesome sense to why mages are feared! I agree with Vivienne, however a strive for power is in human nature, I do not justify her calling solas or blackwall comparably weak. So far, from what solas and dorian have to say, I say Dorian is the guy im scared of. The dude's Necromancy makes him a demi- god at the very least! He can to a degree do what demons do: posses. He does control demonds/ giants / humans with his necromancy so yikes . I've played my share of lineage 2 for over 15 years to know darn well what the setting in this game is (kinda) but stuff requires more research. Interesting tho.. so mages can burn houses down just from a dream... Just a question to all of you guys... How come the world is not in turmoil/cataclysm? also templars from what i understand have ability to suppress magic. How does that work? because if you can suppress magic... does not that make you even more scarier than the mages?

Oh btw... blackwall is a warden and i noticed all of you guys mentioning blight and how wardens must sacrifice themselves to kill archademon ... well so..... as inquisitor being present.. is it possible to lock the archdemon in the fade and kinda end it all?
