Going to have to agree

Dragon Age Inquisition is going to be sinking to the bottom soon enough with this patch actually breaking something it involved fixing that wasnt broken in the first place.

Did you just include Icewind Dale - the anti-Bioware game essentially - in a list of Bioware games?

Icewind Dale isn't a BioWare game, as far as I know.

I would also rate ME3 much higher than SW:TOR.

This is from my personal experience with the games & DLCs.

Gameplay:
DAI > DA2 > DAO

Strategy Building:
(DAO = DA2) > DAI

Story:
DAO > DA2 > DAI

Companions:
DA2 > DAI > DAO (sorry Zevran)

Romances:
DAI > DAO > DA2

Music:
DAO > DA2 > DAI

Replayability:
DA2 > DAI > DAO

Protagonist:
Sarcastic Hawke > Hero of Ferelden > Inquisitor

Overall, mixed though DAI and DA2 get more of my attention.

BG2 is at the top, ME3 is at the bottom, and everything else is in the middle.

Gameplay:

DAO > DA2 >DAI

Replayability:
DAO=DAOA>DA2 > DAI

Combat

DAO=DA2(mage only)>DA2>DAI

Strategy Building:
DAOA>DAO = DA2 > DAI

Story:
DAO=DAOA > DA2 > DAI(even most of the plot and story as lore twists was so predictable, than i know  and foretold many things more than 2 years ago)

Companions:
DAOA>DAO=DA2 > DAI(exept Varrick and Iron Bull who i will not count, we have worst companions ever from all BIO games, DAI have more npc who would be much better and suited members of our party and advisors(who was one of the worst and useless part of the game) from what we have)

Romances:
DAO=DA2 > DAI....return to baldur gate romance roots with mix of DAO and DA2, otherwise they does not be more than expanded flirt dialogues and cutscenes like with members of blooming rose, it is like a swtor

Protagonist:
Hero of Ferelden> Hawke>Inquisitor Herald of Andraste(who was writed as Travelian and other choices does not mean anything, even if it make more sense for elven protag and we use elven powers)

worst games of Bioware is ME3 and DAI

1. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

2. Jade Empire

3. Mass Effect 2

4. Dragon Age: Inquisition

5. Dragon Age: Origins

6. Dragon Age 2

7. Mass Effect 1

8. Mass Effect 3

9. Baldur's Gate 1

10. Neverwinter Nights

1-5 are all much closer in rank with each other. DA2 and ME1 were just okay, while ME3 actively left a bad taste in my mouth, although it had a few enjoyable emotional bits. BG1 and NwN were very unenjoyable for me, mainly due to the non-existent narrative/companion characters.

I would say DAO is way better than DA2 and DAI.

- excellent plots, storyline and useful sub quests. Very well writen, remembered 5+ years later......and still played today.

DA2 and DAI was a console hack and slach, very limited what you can do games with poor, short main story and almost useless subquests.

Only way I'd say DA2 and DAI are better than DAO, I never played DAO before and I only use a console and not a PC with keyboard and mouse. Otherwise, I'd probably say the same thing if I had a console.

Loved ME series, BG series, Neverwinter Knights series, and I did play the starwars games a bit.

I agree, that after EA took over, the quality of games went downhill and catered to short hack and slash simplified console controller users. EA has to make money afterall and the PS4 and XBox One are impressive consoles.

Bioware should of continued on from DAO but they didn't and threw away the ball and its gone downhill for the Dragon Age Series since then. They could salavge this mess, with DA4 but only if they continue from DAO, but its almost too late for that now. Oh well...

DA2 and DAI will both be forgotten in a few years and as mediocre games. Sad but true.

I do consdier DAI way better than DA2 though but still could of gone a lot further than they did.

- When you make a game, its for all platforms and should work at launch.

- either continue on with the last savegame from the previous game OR end it properly and start fresh

- do not leave users hanging and then do a 180 and think its okay.......look how DA2 turned out and to an extent DAI.

What could of been a really great series is now a hack and slash, dumbed down, very limited what you can do game and medicore. Sad.

My turn:

1)  Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 (I am ranking them together because they really do belong at the top and the game is epic if you use Baldur's Gate Trilogy, plus Minsc and Boo)

2)  NWN1 and KotOR (tied in my eyes as they were both very well done games)

3)  Mass Effect and Dragon Age: Origins (because both got me into the series)

4)  Mass Effect 2

5)  Mass Effect 3 (with the Happy Ending mod and Citadel DLC because who doesn't want to see Wrex in a tuxedo?)

6)  DA2 and SW:TOR (the beginning of the end for Bioware after EA bought them)

7)  Jade Empire (we should have taken this are more of a warning of what was to come with EAWare)

8)  DA:I (the game to totally FUBAR a faith I had for 16 years in Bioware games but did not want to let go.  Gotta love them patches which were tested and released as working *cough key drop issue still exists and rampage is totally broken now cough*)

I could list the Dark Alliance games that were on the PS2 but wont as I am going to keep this PC games only for my list.

. . .Neverwinter Knights series. . .

That's a new one to me :P

But I will assume english is not your first language or your like I used to be around this time of night and starting to suffer from alcohol poisoning.

All in all though you make very valid points.  I don't agree with all of them but most I do.

I personally don't care if I get a game on sale or full price or if I pre order it or after its released.

I paid $45 CAD for DAI digital deluxe. If DAI would of been a really fantastic game, I would of paid $80 CAD for it, no hesitation!!!

A good game I will buy with all the DLC's and cost isn't a factor to me.

A medicore game, I will only buy after its released and on sale and no DLC's.

- I pre ordered DA2 digital deluxe and was totally let down, so I didn't pre order DAI digital deluxe and only got it on sale.....

DAO digital deluxe full price and all DLC's and Awakenings expansion. Cost factor didn't matter because DAO was that good......

The list is not a 'correct' list, but overall I get the point.  Still, DA2 and ME3 are pretty difficult to be worse than.

It's all subjective. People like games for vastly different reasons. If I were to make a list, it would probably be based on narrative /story. However, others might rate a game based on combat and tactics, and someone else on graphics and lack of bugs. It all depends on what is important to you as a player.

Lists like these can be fun to read, but really, it does nothing but tell you what THAT person likes. There is no possible way for it to be "correct". Ever. Unless you are saying it's correct for you .

I don't get these ME2 ratings, especially from people rating DAI as 'the worst thing ever'. It's like they're mentally blocking the "all build up, little payoff" structure, planet vacuum cleaning, the whole idiocy that was the Cerberus and ultimately, the baby Reaper.
