First, what shield is this?

It's called "Magehuter", a level 20 Unique, with "on hit: gain 3 guard".  I've got two of them...  Dwarven Proving shield is probably better IMO.

According to in-game lore the mp chars are merely thugs for the Inquisition, look at their leaders (well most of them) and you know what to expect <_<.

I like how it looks, besides, I don't have a better one. But I know I will get a better shield before I get the Sulevin, so it's coming.

A drug addict on cold turkey, an assassin, a pretender who waves the hand frantically around and a young woman running around in golden stockings.

LOL. I forgot that I had Ninja'd in a fix for this. It was originally supposed to be in patch 2, but I'm glad it finally appeared in the wild.

You know what? I actually like their ugly mugs. The Elementalist has a craggy, pockmarked face, the Keeper looks angry all the time, the Necromancer could use a good day cream... but I like that they aren't conventional pretty characters! They are out there kicking *ss and taking names, and if you feel their "ugly" faces are distracting you from killing enemies, go play Final Fantasy.

I don't really mind that they're not cover-art attractive. But I think the problem some people have is that they don't even look anything like their tarot cards. I'm not sure if BW outrght state that those cards are supposed to be the same as our MP characters, but they do match for the Single Player campaign, so that's why we don't get why the Necromancer, Reaver, Keeper and others look so different.

I am glad they at least tried fixing the faces, but I can't confirm this yet cause Xbox One didn't get the patch yet.

Blizzard changed the looks of a lot of spells in Diablo 3 with a patch. I loved that! I wish bioware could be more like blizzard in this aspect, but at least they are trying

When do you actually see their faces? I think I've got about 100 hours logged in multi, and I don't think I've reflected on the faces once. During combat there are other things to think about and in the MP menu it is too dark and the camera is too far away from the character model to actually make out anything.
