After completing over 10 games with Archer, none of them on Perilous, I'm finally ready to post this guide. If you wonder if you'll be able to turn back to the life you had before after reading this guide - no, you won't.
First of all, use this build:

Justification of the skills
1. Caltrops (upgraded)
Caltrops are the best Archers skill. Nuff said. I'll quote some BioWare employee from the MP stream before the release though, to support this claim:
Everybody loves caltrops.

Just throw those babies on the ground and watch your enemies suffer.
2. Evade (upgraded)
An enemy got near you? It's his funeral! Throw your 'trops on the ground and evade. The mo*********'s dead. As far as I know it's the best skill Archer has access to that deals with enemies that are nearby. Leap Shot? Shmeap shot, I say. Venatori and Red Templar Jedi's will block it. They can't block Evade + Caltrops.
3. Knockout Powder

Need I say more?
4. Fallback Plan / Bait 'n Switch
Another weapon in your arsenal that lets you setup Caltrops and then like a bat outta hell be gone when the morning comes. Your enemies won't know what hit 'em.
There's no real argument here - this is the definitive Archer build. I studied all the skills and after each game I wondered what I could have done better and finally it came to this. Remember that as an Archer you're not used to the lack of silence, therefore you should drop all the flashy moves like Long Shot, Leap Shot or Explosive Shot. Be silent, but deadly, let the foes crawl before you while you laugh.
Equipment
Caltrops ring is a must, because you want your main source of damage to be up 100% of the time. Cooldown amulet will work wonders as well. There's a bow that drops Caltrops, basically doubling your damage output - get it. As for the second ring, I suggest sharpening your Caltrops with Chance to Bleed ring, that will show 'em. As for the belt I'd say whatever.
Learn your surroundings
Death From Above is a wondrous passive and it is really awesome on this build. Just drop the Caltrops low on the ground (for example if you have enemies down a stairway and then just use Fallback Plan or throw sand in your enemies' eyes and run upstairs. From there you can watch your helpless enemies die, suffering those +25% damage. You can shoot some arrows from your bow, hopefully dropping more Caltrops in the process.
