For every time they hit the nail directly on the head (usually it's a bit off center) they then misunderstand it and toss out some meaningless drivel regarding it. Which is then instantly countered by their opponents who then spout even more drivel. This is then worsened if you try to reason with either side because they then instantly support you support either the "SJW" or the "Patriarchy".

Oh look, an idealist.

Good luck with that plan ever working.

Pfft.. I thought Idealists are those who believe in sacred natural rights and my approach is actually a Realist one.

Also I vaguely implied Thomas Hobbes' idea on Government.

And I should have added:

If you don't perform your duty, you simply lose your rights. I like the idea of Prisoners having the slaves situation while they're in prison!

Maybe translators have mistranslated this one...

I mean that kind that is implied by 18th century lawyers, philosophers and politicians.

I disagree with any politically correct movement because it breeds restriction and dishonesty. Do people think that forbidding someone to express a thought will mean that person will stop thinking it? No. It's just going to annoy that person and widen the gap even more.

My dude Mad Hands knows what's up. Even if I can't say "Recon is a clopper" I'm still going to be thinking it.

The individuals that can hardly tolerate each other will never get along, and someone will ensure that the government (or whoever is behind the government) gains far too much power. Since Hobbes argued that the government should have absolute power, then someone in your proposed government would find a way to manipulate it and turn it to further their own ends. All those who disagree with those in charge will be slaves, regardless of the "contract".

It should also be noted that by "idealist" I was not referring to the philosophy.

I'm from the (almost)extinct Amiga master race. Now bow before me.

Brother! I thought we were all gone! What do we do now? Plot to regain control of the world or chop each other's head's off to try and steal each other's powers?

If you want to know the truth, there have been many occasions when I started writing something about the GG-word, and then stopped myself a few sentences in when I realized what I was doing. I was falling into the same trap that arguably started the whole mess in the first place: I was letting games journalism become about games journalism, and about things like moral imperatives and other bullshit, when it should be about games.

Games journalism being about games and not morals? what a novel idea.

And this is why it's a sad thing that editors are a dying profession.

Slave labor to do what? To dump free workers into the market when people are already complaining about losing jobs to immigrants? There's not too many tasks unskilled workers who need to be constantly supervised can do aside from digging ditches or breaking rocks.

If people instead focused on identifying and treating mental illness - something that is both much more prevalent amongst criminals and which is exacerbated by a high stress life of confinement - then there might actually be less of a chance of repeat offenders. If this was expanded out into the general populace, it may even reduce the need for prisons in general.

People just have sick, truly broken methods of thinking. You can alter the way people think, but not by throwing them in prison camps. That in itself is a broken way of thinking. You can only punish people into submission... and this will only work as long as you can make them feel submissive. You can't punish people into becoming productive and functional members of society.

Don't question me on the whole slave labor thing, it wasn't my idea.

As for the problems with treating criminals correctly is that there's less money to be made then.

Prisons should only exist for the more violent offenders since no amount of restructuring will change that.

We should go Illuminati and secretly regain power overtime.
