Just a few of my thoughts, I was hoping that things would improve with patch but they have just made things worse imo. Ill be taking a break from this game I think until this garbage is sorted out. Ill be playing ME3MP in the meantime.

Thanks to you all for watching/following/leaving feedback on my content up to this point.

Some very sneaky editing to make my posts fit your viewpoint! As always, context is key, and there's a lot of context missing around the things you've posted ( I recommend following @AndrastesTits on Twitter, by the way, she's hilarious ).

Honestly, this video is solid evidence that these forums don't really want dev interaction or communication. When I joined the forum it was because I saw cries for these very things, and I thought I would help. What I quickly realized, however, is that whenever someone sticks their neck out in the forum there are a thousand swords to fall on it regardless of the content of the post. There is this very confusing cognitive dissonance where it seems this community wants interaction and communication, but pushes back fiercely when they actually receive it. A number of users on the BSN turn this space into a hostile, inhospitable environment, and asking why the developers don't interact is strange - the answer is well known. I will say - There are a number of wonderful, helpful community members in these forums whom I really appreciate. Its unfortunate that the people who are behaving poorly get so much attention.

I'm honestly disappointed things went this way, with you especially Penguin. You so quickly turned from a hero into a villain. I'm sorry that you didn't get what you wanted from me. I'm happy that you're taking what seems like a much needed break. Its going to be a good year for MP, there's a lot of awesome stuff coming down the pipe, and if you decide to check in in a few months I know you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Be Excellent to Eachother

Thanks,

Amelia

I am closing this thread pending more thorough read over. Do NOT create an alternate thread in the meantime. My general impressions so far is that things need to deescalate in the short term anyways.

Note that our forums are not for bug feedback. While inevitably people will share bugs here, I share this to restate that developer interaction here isnt mandated as a way to solicit feedback from fans. Devs that post here do so of their own volition. In case you are curious the official feedback page is found here http://answers.ea.co...p/DAInquisition
I
I understand that people are frustrated but at this time I feel the topic isnt constructive andwe can explore opening/restarting this discussion about the state of MP once people have cooled down a bit.

If you have any comments send me a PM. Nite that response may be delayed as I am not in the office this week.

I just finished reading the thread.

Some general comments about dev interaction in my experience because some stuff certainly caught my attention.

My posting started as a response to fans upset at me3 for the purpose of giving them a direction to get upset at. So I came into the forum with a fireproof suit on. But I continued posting mostly because I enjoyed posting. I am not on the DA team anymore but still did post a bit after launch. I stopped mostly because people started to use my posts against me. Because I wasnt posting in a particular thread it meant Bioware didnt care about a particular issue or that I was playing favorites. This made me uncomfortable so I stopped.

It was actually interesting (and disheartening) to see my posting legacy used against a coworker especially when juxtaposed with my inbox being so upset with how poorly I was handling DAI feedback. So perception is certainly an interesting thing when looking at my posts. It isnt by any means that a majority of people do that but it is a genuine worry of mine that people will use this against either me or BioWare. I am concernex that devs spending their time her if their own volition is problematic because if I move on to a different project and am less engaged any one after me gets judged by my history for better or worse. I will be taking these impressions back to discuss because maybe something more formalized needs to occur so that interaction with the fanbase is more consistent and people dont feel slighted because there is attention somewhere but not somewhere else. I dont know the solution to this but will have to talk it over more with others when I return to Edmonton. I definitely do not want parts of the fanbase feeling they are being treated less fairly based on developer interaction.

More generally:

The forum isnt really the ideal place to discuss legal matters. I appreciate that a few people tried to chime in to diffuse that talk from escalating further.

I will be discussing a lot of what happened in this thread with both local BioWare people as well as the moderator team for their thoughts regarding dev interaction.

Posted from my phone. Please excuse spelling and typos.
