I understand the frustration, but i wonder if it´s that necessary to go to a personal level.

I'm not frustrated, I'm amused. It's BWEAmelia who's always like "BW has the best QA team in the world and suggesting that a QA team that clearly doesn't play our game enough isn't the best in the world is madness". Plus posting memes is childish/unfunny (says the guy who just posted MLG memed' Archer guide) and I expect professionalism from BW employees. Her tweets posted in the video - I wasn't aware of them - are the worst, really. It's a style that made me wonder what are Amelia's exact responsibilities, because she doesn't sound much more than an apologist for some major screw-ups than a serious employee. Certainly she is not a community manager / PR, and if she is then she is a very lazy one.

But IF Amelia is responsible for talking to us, then we are doomed. Because from her rare posts I can see that she isn't fit for the job, can't take criticism and will just escalate our dissatisfaction either by going on silence marathons, or by entering arguments.

There is absolutely nothing personal about it. Im ridiculing a company. I dont mention any names in the video, only the fact that all the quotes are from an official bioware source.

That's good, not having a designated person for fan feedback regarding MP is slightly better than having a godawful one. I guess.

My take on DAMP:

This game mode is an afterthought, built by a very small dev team, with scraps from SP.

Evidence: Low number of maps, skills and equipment from SP, even with stuff that are irrelevant to MP.

I am not expecting much more from it, seeing what the first "DLC" was. I also guess that focus at Bioware is now on the Mass Effect next installment.

Lol as much as i dont believe this it would not bother me if the focus shifted to me4. Mass effect is just unreal can you imagine what me4mp will be like.

I cant wait to jump back on THE KROGON boss man lol

MP is only a bonus in this game, an extra. Its addicting, but pretty mediocre compared to say, MMOs. I'm already sick of it. It has only 3 maps! There are ppl who actually dont care about the actual game (I refuse to call it "single player" mode), and yeah I'll always be baffled with it. But the fact is: they never wanted to do a MP to begin with. Most fans don't care about it. EA forced it down their throats.

With the main game still filled with glitches I (and many others) are still waiting for actual fixes to it. They should come first. Bioware did bite more than they can chew, but I still wonder whose fault is it. IMHO they should have never added MP to DA. Its an immersive RPG for christ sake. They could have done a spin off or something. But now we have both modes broken!

And ppl must remember ME3 MP had quite a long list of bugs (Vanguards were unplayable for quite a while), but theres a crucial difference here: ME gameplay was great, it was a great third person shooter since the beggining. And as much as I love the DA series for its lore and characters, truth is gameplay was never its forte. On the contrary: it was always buggy, sluggish, unresponsive.

When I played Inquisition I was very unfortunate to realize that the same gameplay issues that plagued the series since Origins (besides recycled animations and poor armor design) were STILL there! Obviously, these were carried over to MP. DA, as it is, is simply not suited for MP. Even if they fix the glitches, you'll still have the same issues as the main game. Only that, while playing by yourself, you dont have to worry about getting stuck, poor mobility, blinding AOE, lags. Though you still need to keep chasing your targets tiressly if playing as melee.

Thinking about it: DA2's combat actually played a lot better. Should have stuck with that.

They should make ME4 single player only, as any Bioware RPG should be.

Instead, make a MP-oriented stand alone game. This way we could both have what we want. And they could actually make a good MP game with like, more than one mode.

But enough of these half-baked MP thrown in only bc EA just have to scrap for the last penny they can get their fat eyes on.

I blame EA, not Bioware. It doesnt look like they have much of a choice.
I dont have high hopes for ME4. Itll probably have MP, open world, season pass, day one DLC, poor story, and it'll be so broken not even Tali will be able to fix it.

Well said, Penguin. I was unaware of some of the Twitter and Forum responses which I agree are ludicrous and unprofessional in the extreme.

The sad thing is that some parts of DAI MP are extremely fun. But I think Penguin's video has convinced me that my time is better spent elsewhere.

Public service announcement for people who enjoy the fantasy trapping and loot-fest: Diablo 3 is quite good now. It started out a buggy, broken mess but unlike DAI it actually got some attention.

Sadly, I'm inclined to agree with Penguin. The amount of unprofessionalism displayed in many (otherwise considered) as "official" responses, is earth shattering. The arguments and analogies used absolutely terrible. And don't even get me started on the twitter posts. In all honesty, who (in an official position) posts stuff like that ? Are you serious right now ?

I've been a part of this community even before BSN was launched and it is the first time I've seen people actually getting "called out" and in certain cases being ridiculed, their opinions downplayed because they dared to report an actual issue with a certain part of a game (or even what they perceive to be an issue), even if they are wrong in their assumptions or even angry or more vocal than they should. It's a sad state of affairs for sure and all I can really feel is sadness.

It's basically the same fate this thread will endure. It will be left to die and being swept under the carpet. Like I said, sad.

Good vid, I don't like shooters and I'm terrible at me3 so that mp is a no go for me. The mass effect team seems to have always done everything better than the da team with the ending of me3 being the exception although the ending didn't bother me cause I didn't care that much about that series I guess.

If I had beef with bioware I would boycot all of theirs and ea's products though. I never had high expectations for inquisition I didn't like da2 combat and game design. I felt much of inquisition was being based off of that and I still do. It's its own animal but still far from origins.

My lowered expectations really worked . None of this stuff ever affected me. I was playing on PC for the first 2 months. I had dx errors from the get go despite upgrading before launch. This is the last game I'll ever pre order and the end of this series for me. I liked the game just as I liked da2 but I didn't love it like origins.

Can't believe you people stuck with the MP for this long especially after that joke of an "expansion". I took some time off from the game to read some novels and only came back to see what they've patched after receiving the news and lo and behold, Reaver's even worse than before and the keys are still not fixed. Can't say that I regret the purchase since I've gotten enough hours of entertainment out of the product but even the single player really doesn't hold up to close inspection especially after the first play through. Overall, exactly the type of game I'd expect to come from the post-EA era Bioware. Thank god Pillar of Eternity is only a few short months away.

On a completely unrelated note, The Broken Empire is a pretty amazing series of fantasy novels, highly recommended!

It's really not nor is it appropriate. These visceral emotional reactions are more indicative of personal issues than game issues. I really don't understand the mindset of justifying "I can talk whatever kind of awful **** I want to because I'm a consumer but heaven forbid if a representative from that company takes me to task a bit." Yes I know it's best practice to go "radio silent" in response to outright threats and such blatant hostility. Game developers are people too though and just because they provide a professional product that you purchased it does NOT justify or entitle a lot of the steaming heaps of horseshit I see slung at BioWare devs on these forums.

I mean imagine if a customer or consumer walked into your job and goes on a volatile tirade with all the inappropriate **** that gets said on the forum. Would you not respond in a way that let's the consumer know that he's acting inappropriately and that there'd be action taken if he didn't stop? I swear, ya'll can be so damn hypocritical.

One time I went into Verizon and asked to downgrade from a smartphone to a stupidphone because I decided stupidphone was really all I need.  The girl tried three times to sell me the new Android 7 or whatever it was, she was not listening to a word I said.  Finally I asked if there was a man there that I could speak to?

TL;DR now my phone bill is $60 less every month.

The next time a guy at GameStop tries to push a season pass DLC on me, and then a game disc insurance option on me, and then a GameStop rewards card renewal on me, when all I want to do is pick up my preordered game, I'll be sure to ask if there's a woman I can speak to instead.

Because pushy salespeople and/or a company mandating that you have to try and push certain services on customers before letting them out toooootally occurs only if and when the salesperson is of the female persuasion.

I Just want a honest response from someone, as to when each bug will be fixed and what will the dates of the patch(s) be. I like this game, but yesterday was seriously depressing to get the key glitch no different than I had before. Watching the Katari become basically useless, and Fail repeatedly to break a single G DAMN pot!!

I want them to say, Until all the major issues are fixed there will be a Patch every Friday or something addressing one bug, With up most organized prioritization.

Other subject: The Nerfed DC was done all wrong. Increase the pop up damage 50% from what it is now (with skill it can be dodged), Reduce the status effect further (just Ridiculous still), and bring his life back to where it was (we still want a challenge).

This is a really disappointing thread to read :(.

I used to play WoW way back in the day. Quit because of the grind. Picked up DA:O, had some fun with it, same with DA2...just couldn't get into the single player mod (mostly because of lack of things to do end-game).

Over the years I've also dabbled in playing Battlefield 3 & 4 online, and sunk a rediculous amount of hours into playing Gran Turismo 5 & 6 online.

Then came back to DA:I to check it out. Found the exact same issues with single player that bothered me in the first two DA's. Decided to give multiplayer a shot, and while it has had its moments, after only 2-3 weeks of DAMP, the bugs and minimal content are starting to wear on me...probably moving onto something new soon :(

The really disappointing part is the trend of horrible support from the devs.

Battlefield (and EA product) is riddled with bugs, poor server stability, etc...it's all well documented. And most issues are ones that have persisted through multiple titles.

Gran Turismo 5 & 6, from a "complete product" point of view, were absolutely trash. GT5 took a year and a half, along with a dozen or so updates, to reach "complete status". GT6 removed everything that was good about 5, and started from the same bare-bones skeleton....a very incomplete game. With horrible online stability. 6 has been out for over a year, and is still waiting for features to be added via patch (features that are advertised on the box).

And now after spending about a week browsing these forums, it seems the Bioware team is pretty much garbage too.

Incomplete game, riddled with repetitive bugs, mediocre content....seems like it's pretty much the norm for devs these days. Industry standard lol.

So, what's a good game that's sort of like DAMP?

Diablo 3?

Any other suggestions?
