Yumi's quick 2 cents:
Pengin can't help it if he is a massive Dragon Age fanboy. It's what he loves. He's been incredibly helpful and contributed a lot to the general knowledge of any player that takes the time to read 1 of his many, many guides.
Pengin even called for calm and called for patience along with other high profile forumers like Mofojokers when people first started freaking out about, and let's be honest about this, the very large amount of bugs in this multiplayer.
Pengin also took the further step of testing, gathering evidence and video documentation, editing it together, posting it up, and packaging it nicely along to Bioware in bug reports. MULTIPLE TIMES.
So the guy has finally gotten burnt out with the crap we just got patched. We can all agree the patch was a complete joke, whether it is:
1. wuss demon commander (unneeded change)
2. reaver rampage (i'm not criticizing this one, but it was said this was for balance, when all it really did was greatly weaken the class's best skill - dragon rage).
3. key glitch ( no significant reduction in occurrence, or at least, this was not a significant enough to call it a "key glitch fix")
4. elven ruins destruction (wow, not even included in the patch)
5. Inquisition armor palate swaps ( Some of them it looks nice, some look like utter crap, it's something, I guess)
I can't blame Pengin for losing his patience. Honestly, I've lost mine. But I can just walk away and play other games. So, the guy is really passionate about this game and he needs to express himself the way he needs to.
As gamers and customers it is not always our job to be the adults in this situation. By situation I mean the mess of a multiplayer and the negative hellhole of a forum we have.
We aren't getting paid to play your game Bioware. We pay YOU to play your game. Therefore, you have to be the adult in this situation.
And Amelia, I can honestly say I am disappointed in you. I felt pretty great when I saw you and Andy posting in the early first weeks of DAMP. But lately it has become plain that your attitude was only pleasant as long as people threw you softball questions that had easy canned answers for you to post. Your response to negativity is very defensive and honestly, quite juvenile. The negativity has drawn you in and drawn you down. Maybe you need to step back from communicating with the forum. Please don't take this as an insult, I think it might just make you feel better. Whether you communicate or not the forum is still going to be a cesspool of negativity until a lot of bug fixes and then some fresh content gets added.
Everyone, from forumers to BWEAme, how about we all just take a step back and have a chill pill? Maybe get back to some other stuff, other games, other work, other friends, and just let this dog lie for a little while.
I just Ole' Yeller'ed DAMP a few days ago, and I feel great.
I mean eventually, we can be back to this again right?!? (you can choose which one is you and which one is on the opposite side
)
