By the Creators, please tell me it is so because I accidentally deleted one of my most played saves I had (my main one, in fact). I accidentally deleted it when I meant to load it. I'd rather drown myself than have to play through so many hours again.
Can a deleted save be restored?

Wouldn't make much sense. I'm assuming you play on PC so it may be different, but on console nope. Deleted is deleted.

Platform doesn't matter - consoles use the same hard drives your computer likely contains. And yes, data recovery specialists can restore deleted files - how involved (and thus expensive) that's going to be depends on what you did afterwards; typically, you are only going to remove the file system table entry (meaning the box will be treated as empty and available for writing) without physically being overwritten (thus it's a good idea to stop writing to the drive if you ever accidentally delete a file).

Hey dont worry, i accidentally deleted a whole bloody play through lol
Reached save limit on ps4 decided to load each character make a primary save an delete every other save bar that one, damn tiresome process it was, mind went numb pressed delete on the load character screen instead of in the character save menu, BOOOOOOM fully complete play through lvl 25 gone, i decided then was a good time to go to bed

It does matter a little bit for PC, depending if you are diligent with computer maintenance, as you can use restore points from backups. I've completely corrupted a game install one time modding and so i just rolled back my computer 16 hours to my last restore point and fixed the problem instead of losing all my saves and having to reinstall. Which was going to be my advice for OP if they were playing on PC.

If you can connect the hard drive of the console to a PC and be able to access it, you could use something like Recuva on the PC to get your files back.
