I only ran with a 10% cooldown amulet which reduces cooldowns by less then a second, your finE without one.  The CATCH is you need a decent staff.  If you notice there were only a few times in the video I got close to dying and it was due to player errors, plus you always have guardian spirit as back up.

Nice work

The old demon commander would glitch sometimes and just stand still making for an easy solo kill. So I would say a solo kill on the new one is stil legit.

I can comfortably solo silver with a similar build starting from level 16. Also, my gear is largely similar. Have not tried gold yet but will try once I get to lvl 20. Since silver goes so well, I think I have a good shot at gold.
