I had hoped that Adrian made an appearance in Inquisition just so I could kill her. She got away scot free in Asunder.

 

Also would have loved to kill the original Cole's father who was implied to be very abusive to the original Cole and killed Cole's mom.

I love Adrian! I'd have gladly taken her into the party as a companion. I actually think her siding with Tevinter would fit better than Fiona doing the same thing - she seems much more hot-tempered and impulsive.

 

I have some dislike for Evangeline and Wynne, though. Actually, after Asunder I disliked, erm, nearly everyone. Except for Adrian and Seeker Lambert, ironically. But after DAI came, I saw Cole had such fantastic writing, and Leliana has gone through such an interesting journey, and even Fiona seemed alive and sympathetic, so I can definitely enjoy those three.

 

Evangeline, though... no. Just no. Maybe it's my inner schoolgirl talking, but: if you travel with a guy and his ex, you *don't* make any moves on him. Not classy.

 

 

 

As for other books, I would LOVE to see Felassan again, except that... well... spoilers. Sigh.

Anyone from Awakening. Velanna mainly, based on the ending of it, she survives and still looking for her sister. It would have been nice to involve her somewhere being both Dalish and a Grey Warden.

Aveline just because I love her to bits; Nathaniel maybe (need to replay DA2 at some point, I managed to miss him the first time round); Sandal definitely (because I demand answers!); the Denerim Chantry lady who was always slipping talk about food into the Chant maybe, just because.  I expect if I were to be transported into Thedas from real life I would be someone like her.

Before Anders became the choice for rollover companion in Dragon Age 2, developers had almost given the nod to Velanna. I have always wanted to see her again, even more than any other previous franchise companion. Sten would be nice too, particularly if he actually did become the next Arishok.

 

That's at least one from the original game and it's expansion, so (Varric notwithstanding) if forced to select another from DA2, I would opt for Bethany.

There was nobody I particularly wanted to bring back and shiv from the other games, but I could quite happily have tossed Bianca from DAI into a a deep hole, I found her snippy and annoying.  Then I would introduce Varric to Scout Harding.

Fortunately, I killed his brother, hopefully I pressed some of his buttons.

Aveline. I think she is great. In a way I think she is better, at least equal, to ability of command as Cullen. I would have chosen her over him to command Inquisition forces.

The Architech and/or his Self-Aware Darkspawn. This is the Hugh of Borg situation from Star Trek The Next Generation. It's a wonderful scenario to examine and is capable of being included regardless of whether the player allowed The Architech to live or not.

As for killing off:

I like both previous PCs a bunch but I'm tired of wondering where my HoF is, tired of Hawke just being around. So I was happy to see the Keep allowed us to edit world states. My HoF is now dead and Hawke always dies too during Inquisition. In addition I used the Keep to kill off the prologue surviving Hawke sibling, Varric's brother and various other characters like Ignacio. Trim the fat, now I don't have to wonder where those story threads go. lol

I really want to murder-knife Tallis. It would be doubly satisfying for me because I could imagine she's also Felicia Day's annoying character on Supernatural.

I wouldn't mind a short trip or war table mission to tevinter to give the black divine the idea that sending assassins after the Inquisitions Arcanist is perhaps not such a good idea though if Anders pops up again I'll likely kill him even if it causes the game to be lost, a vengeful Hawke attacking or in general become much more difficult.

In regards to killing:

 

I mainly dislike how it seems conventionally attractive female characters have "plot armor." I don't really love/hate any characters, but in certain playthroughs, I killed/betrayed Morrigan, Leliana, and Isabella--and Bioware basically comes to their rescue to ensure that their beautiful damsels survive no matter what you do because reasons. 

 

Meanwhile, Loghain dies if you execute him, Alistair is still a drunk, Zevran is still super dead if you killed him -- as is Anders, as are a myriad of other male characters/non-conventionally attractive females: Wynn, Shale (I'd include Merrill here too), etc. 

 

This trend is messed up.

I'd like to have Sigrun back, she was fun. I want Corpse!Justice and Human Anders back.  Abomination Justice!Anders was the worst parts of both original characters rolled into one, so disappointing. 

 

Definitely Shale, and Merril.

 

I want Sten (Arishok) to come back so I can kill him.  I want to go 2 for 2 on killing Arishoks. But he better watch out, in the shadows, The Arishok.

I found it interesting that, if you talk to Harding in Skyhold, she says Varric was talking to her about copper marigolds. Made me go hmmm....
