Both made by a huge rpg company, after EA took over. They dumbed down Ultima more and more too, believe me. More action combat. Button mashing. Jumping.....sounds like Dragon Age already.
Having played through once I was so excited to take Solas to the Temple of Mythal and to the Temple of Elghar'nan (SP?) expecting all this great insight. I think he explained one thing other than translating stuff. I know this is PC related but it is an example of them not fleshing things out.
I have to admit that I kept wondering about that. It would certainly intensify the game's immersion factor. Having codex entries for new players is an excellent idea.
