Any news or ideas about other new vehicles in the next Mass Effect? I remember playing Destiny when it first came out and loving the sparrow gameplay and thinking something like it or similar to the covenant vehicles from halo would be nice for people who aren't too fond of all the "fridge-roller skate-business" of combat tanks and would like something more mobile or rather "fun" than even the hammerhead which wasn't really a tank and wasn't awfully mobile either stuck in that awkward jack of all trades master of non category.

I'd personally like drivable skycars to make a return one day should we ever get to visit another major city only with much more variation surely there are more designs out there then ' that one from blade runner'. Are there super cars in the future? What do Batarian and Turian cars and bikes look or feel like to drive? Amphibious vehicles? What playable vehicles would you like to see in the next mass effect?

I can't imagine BioWare would spend their time making fully drivable sky cars for hubs. I could imagine the return of chase sequences like the one in LotSB, but GTA style city transportation would take way too long to properly implement.

I was actually quite disappointed to hear that the Mako was returning. The concept of exploration is fine, but why out of all the vehicles BioWare could have picked did they choose the Mako? I know many weren't too fond of the Hammerhead's penchant for seemingly spontaneous combustion, but it's maneuverability was demonstrably more fun than its predecessor's slow plodding. While I'm sure BioWare have fixed the Mako's poor handling and so-called "physics," they're seriously limiting the player's range of movement and potentially throwing a wrench into vehicular combat.

It seams like Uncharted worlds are going to return in a big way which is a big part of what attracted me to the franchise in the first place. I enjoyed the mako, it was the geography that was nuts! If the new mako is customisable then Bioware are clearly serious about the exploration aspect this time. And it that's so and Bioware are going to the trouble of putting together solid driving physics it seems wasteful to just stop at the mako when you can imagine all these amazing possibilities like Salarian speed boats, Asari private jets or Turian supercars, etc. Tanks just aren't practical for every situation and driving the same vehicle for hours on end will surely get tiresome.

Well, it's a new vehicle all together. It obviously took inspiration in the old Mako but I doubt it will take anything more.

Perhaps we can mod our Mako? Like shiny rims, racing stripes or a supercharged eezo core?

I would like to see different vehicles to explore different types of environments: Mako, mech, midget submarine, skycar etc. You would have to choose an appropriate vehicle to take with you into missions.

In terms of game mechanics, it could work like in DA:I where you have different styles of mounts available at the stables. Preferably in a less "merely cosmetic" way than DA:I though.

I also hope that the game has areas in the "empty space" to explore. Like the geth dreadnought mission in ME3, but open and non linear. Think of flying the shuttle in the asteroid field to retrieve an item or infiltrating an enemy base. Just wishful thinking, I guess.

I'm totally fine with a ground rover similar to the MAKO. But if they were to go with something other than a ground rover, I think a ship similar to Oblivion's bubble ship would be cool.

This clip  is a music video from the end credits song, but it has a lot of clips of the bubble ship in action.

Nah, I'd love an exosuit though.

Oblivion had such an great art style to it. I'd love to see something like that in NME.

I just hope we can heavily customise the Mako, like our main characters. I remember someone asking this at some BW panel and they didn't confirm anything but they did mention something about being in the vehicle a while and they'd understand why people would want to customise that.

I hope for a highly customizable Mako. More armor, guns, better propulsion system, better steering and higher speed. These should be intertwined and one should cancel the other. Sacrifice mobility for armor and guns and vice versa. Changes should also be visible. I would've also liked painting options for a truly unique vehicle feel. Bonus points for being able to land on planets in our ship and ride out of the cargo hold in a Mako.

The whole time I was watching the movie I was reminded of Mass Effect. The drones, the ship, and the weapons all had a ME feel to them. Actually the soundtrack did as well.

I was jealous of the ending though. Oblivion had the ending Mass Effect 3 should have had!

Spoiler

Also...quoting Horatius at the Bridge? F-cking epic.

Personally I would prefer a hovercraft, which is ironic because I despise the Hammerhead's gameplay.
