I want HARDING!

(Did it sound as wrong as I wanted it to?)

I didn't read this whole thread as it's a lot of blatant ignorance and people yelling at each other. And people have mentioned this already but... few criticized the people going on about 'Harding for LI' BEFORE THE GAME EVEN CAME OUT. Seriously, it started after one demo where she literally said two lines and there were guys posting in there with :crying: faces because she wasn't available. Starting a thread about wanting Krem as a romance after actually playing the game makes more sense. Personally, I have little interest in Krem as an LI because, while I like the character, I didn't find him compelling enough to want to romance the guy. That might change if they expanded on the character, but presently I feel indifferent.

That said, I would be okay romancing a trans male character in a game. I would also be okay with dating a trans man in real life. I've even been attracted to a couple. Just to clarify, I'm straight and have always considered myself such. I like men. Have zero interest in or attraction for women. But for me, if you look like, act like, sound like, and think of yourself as male, to me you are one, to where I could potentially be attracted to you. What is or isn't in your pants is irrelevant.

I understand not all straight women feel this way. Some would be uncomfortable with the idea. Some straight women are also uncomfortable with the idea of dating a bisexual man, but the ones that aren't are no 'less' straight. Hell, I've even known gay people who won't date bisexuals. So let's all stop making big sweeping generalizations about people, huh? Especially when it comes to something as personal and nuanced as individuals and their sexuality.

so why dont you point out exactly which part of our posts were " ignorant" ? btw if you have a sexual relationship with someone of the same gender and enjoy it, trans or not , then you arent straight ( you would be bi , although for women its a bit more complex as proven in some research so ill give you that ),  just declaring yourself to be one doesnt make it so , same goes with gays who have sex with the opposite gender and enjoy it truly arent gay , they are bi. Point out the ignorance in that statement........ not with your opinion but with facts.

Dalish (the elf who denies being a mage) should've been Bull's right hand woman now that you mention it, she comes across as infinitely more interesting than Krem.

I loved that character in the few seconds of knowing her. She's probably the only reason I'm glad I found another way to save the chargers while getting the upper hand on the Qunari.

"I'm not a mage!"

"It's a bow! An elven thing you wouldn't know about that."

Another minor character that's more interesting than Krem is Sutherland. I loved getting that kid off his feet. Seeing his little group gathering and knowing he's about to accomplish some great things at the end. The feels. :D

"The IQ is here! I told you he would come!"

I shouldn't ask this, but what makes you so qualified to tell everyone else what their gender or sexual orientation is? I'm not claiming to be an expert, but I know enough not to presume that I can tell everyone else who they are.

O i am no expert , never claimed to be , my opinion is just that an opinion i dont have to type " IMO" everytime to make that clear do i ? I'm not closed minded however , if someone here can prove me wrong with something resembling facts in an actual debate instead of yelling infidel burn em i'd be more than willing to change it , i'd rather be wrong and learn than  think that i know it all and look foolish but so far all i have gotten is a few SJWs telling me how ignorant i am without actually providing any evidence to support their claims.

I agree. If a straight man is attracted to Krem, he's not straight since they're the same gender. And a lesbian and Krem would be opposite genders, so again, yes.

Fair enough , i admit i was very black and white about Krem's gender earlier when in reality its a complex subject .

Gender has nothing to do with sexuality, it's not that cut and dry anyway. While I agree any man that thinks Krem is attractive is probably not "straight" it goes beyond Krem's gender.

Like the fact that in bed if the old breeding hole is employed its heterosexual intercourse.

And Krem may not may not like to have sex that way, just like some real life transmen do and some don't.

I disagree with this sentiment. Just because a guy thinks another dude is attractive, doesn't automatically make him any less straight.

Or are "handsome" and "attractive" 2 different things in your eyes?

You took the wrong meaning from what was said. I meant in a relationship with and attracted to, like in the post I quoted.

Krem is a woman who identifies herself as a man. I wonder if He prefers women, men, or both

With regards to Krem I just avoid trying to use gender pronouns, even it means sentence construction becomes awkward as a result; I don't use masculine pronouns because I personally don't consider Krem to be a man, but if I were to use feminine pronouns that wouldn't go down too well on this forum and would just likely result in me getting warnings/bans, so I don't use gender pronouns whatsoever when referring to Krem.

P.S. Off-topic question here, but does Dalish (the Mage with Iron Bull's Chargers) actually think that she's not a mage, or is she just pretending? Probably a stupid question, I know, but I saw her being mentioned and was curious as I genuinely don't know!

Actually Harding was supposedly original romance...though she was cut off.

Reasons? For balance? Or simply because they were not sure if people would like dwarf for LI?

Personally I would like more if they just added Harding as LI and took "broody-beard" out... ._. romancing that guy is true self torture!
