OooOooo You cleaned it up quite nicely
I have no experience with watercolour pencils only watercolour itself. I find it helps to dab the watercolour as you apply it. That way, you get many layers of pigment, and you can build the tones. Looking forward to seeing the final version ![]()

Oh noes! Well.. I suppose it's dry by now. Could you maybe use it as a textured background, and draw over it?

I tried to salvage as much as I can. Here it is ![]()
I also get the pre-waterbrushing accident scan. Which version do you think is best?
At this stage, the paper is already at its limit due to the accident so I can't do anything anymore. Guess that if I'll have to correct something it's gonna be Photoshop ![]()
Should've used pastel, duh!

Actually the background looks kinda cool in the first one!XD
But the second one looks great in it's own way, very neat colouring!
ooh you could give photoshop a try and see what stuff you can do, it's good to try different things.
Other than that you did well! ![]()

Thanks. It's crazy, I've shown the picture to several friends & on Cullenite forum, everyone like the first one better. It was the "accidented" one actually ![]()
Well, we'll see with photoshop. I don't have a Wacom so maybe the photoshopped version must wait this week end so that I can borrow my bf's ![]()

I agree with ACD
The version that suffered the accident has some character
There is still a lot you can do in PS with a mouse. Play around with the filters (Liquify is my favourite for readjusting things, and pushing or pulling them into place), and with the various layer settings to vary the colouration of your drawing (Multiply, Overlay, etc.).
But good work
Cullen's adorable ![]()

New WIP for Cullen
Omg, it's so good. you blended it sooooo well! ![]()
Ugh I think I've given up on taking digital art seriously for me, I'll stick with pencil and paper for now!
I did do a digital version of my inquisitor but I'm so hesitant to continue. I did the head, and now the body just worries me. maybe I'll post it later

Yes!!! That is how you get started with proportions
I am sooo sorry, I totally take such things for granted, and I did not post any tips on body and facial proportions. I'll try and find a good online reference, or, failing that, I'll scan some images from my art books ![]()
Good work, and can't wait to see the progress ![]()

Stick to whatever medium you are most comfortable with
As for your Quizzy, don't be shy! Don't be afraid of making mistakes - it's the best way to learn how to draw
And share with us

Very good progress so far. The head is a bit large in proportion to the body, so you might want to adjust that. As a general rule of thumb, the female human body is about 7 heads tall, while the male body 7.5-8 heads tall. I'll try to find an appropriate reference for this, and post it in the tips section.

I had a feeling that was the case, thanks for pointing that out though! I'll also keep an eye out for body/head proportion references ![]()

Don't worry, you are doing really well, and that is something very easy to fix digitally
Can't wait to see more

It will forever be a work in progress
I really admire those who can draw something, or write something. I guess i'm not that type of person :/

No, don't abandon the project! You got the basic shapes down properly, now all you need to do is refine it. The proportions are pretty accurate as well. You have an eye for this, don't give up
Small steps

I suspect you're being polite ^^but thanks anyway (I won't lie, the things you said made me blush
)
Anyway, I really can't do more than that. I need to buy a graphic tablet: drawing (or trying, at least) with a mouse is not the easiest thing in the world.
If you have siggestion on which tablet i can buy, you're welcome
(not too expensive).

D'aww.. you're being too hard on yourself. Especially if you're working with a mouse! That's hard!
I'd recommend a Wacom Bamboo for you. It is pretty reasonably priced.

That's... amazing. Like, how?? Don't put yourself down, what you've done is no small feat, just as Teshayel said! ![]()
