@ Shantia

Thank you! We had really great weather, and we saw some whales, which was awesome :D

Hmm... now that I look at the drawing on a bigger screen it seems to me that the hands might need to be a little bigger? I like how now you can see a bit of the musculature in her arms and legs :) Great work so far :)

@ Vor

Quick tip on water colours: you can use a paper towel (Bounty is fine) to absorb excess liquid and pigment. Then you can add layer after layer of colour to build the shadows. If you vary the colour, the image will look richer. I love water colours, but it takes a looooot of patience :)

@Tesh, that is great, where were you? and whales omg, that's so cool, although I kinda hate water, I always think a shark is gonna come and eat me, even if it's sweetwater hahah.

And hahaha I know the hands are tiny, as fast as I put some shading on them they just disappeared :P have been a bit too lazy to fix this. I have so many things I wanna do, it makes it hard to commit to one project because I keep thinking about the next thing I want to do. I can't wait to see what you will work on next, do you know what you will do?

@ Shantia

We went to Los Cabos, Mexico. Stayed at the Riu Palace - which was AWESOME :D I highly recommend the resort :) And I looove the ocean :) We have the Rockies close by, and they are beautiful, but I always pine for the sea :) I saw a carpet shark :D A tiny one, no more than a foot, but it was pretty cool :)

Next I will work on a little cartooning for the Cullen Valentine's theme I wanted to do. Then I promised Timebean I would work on a piece for her based on her DA:O fanfic. I also have to finish my portrait of Loki, and my hubby is bugging me to do his portrait as well. Lot's of stuff in the pipeline :) Now, all I have to do is find the time for it.

@Tesh Ohhh cool, I live so far away from there (I'm in Sweden). So happy you had a good time.

Iam sure you will find time, well you must because I really wanna see what you do :D

Do you mind sharing a link to that fanfic?

Timebean's fanfic here.

The drawing will be based on Chapter 22, her main character and Roland :)

Hehe I can't wait to know what she's saying.

Edit: @Shantia Thank you! I hope you like the final result :)

@Tesh Oh yes, lots of patience and practice! Thank you for your tips, I'll keep them in mind. I think the final result is also influenced by the low quality of the watercolours and paper (both bought at Tiger) But I'd rather spend cheap materials while I'm getting used to the medium. Still I think I'll be able to get nice colours once I get used to apply the correct amount of liquid and pigment and remove the excess.

May I ask you, what is the better pencil hardness to combine with watercolours? I like how something soft like 3B looks, but I don't know if it's the best choice.

@ Vor

I usually do not combine pencils with watercolours. I use 2B for pretty much everything, however, so that might work for you as well.

Soooo... Art swap w/ ACD101 :) Izzy in the world of Assassin's Creed. Just the rough sketch so far. Yes, her bewbs will have to be enlarged, but I just wanted to get a feel for the character.

@Tesh it's looks great! I love the AC games but it irks me that only one of them and none of the main ones has a woman as main character. So I love your idea.

@Shantia it looks very good as well. You struggled less with the skin tone this time?

@Vor thank you! I decided to put out more colours before I even started with the shading so I hope it'll be better this time around :)

The portrait looks good so far. Colour palette appears in order. You might find you'll need extra skin tone colours once your lighting will become a bit more evident :) Remember to flip the canvas frequently to pick up construction errors :)

@ Vor

Glad you like it :) ACD proposed the idea, actually. And, in return, she'll be drawing something for me :) And, yes, AC should have more female protagonists.

Wow everyone's been drawing a lot! Goooood

@Shantia: The eyes size is a bit... weird for me. Something with the right eye, can't say what.

Hmmm I tried SAI and love it for the lines. Guess that I'll really consider to get that software finally. Much easier to use for inking compared to Photoshop.

@Ceru it's soo cute I really love it.

I tried to correct the eyes, now she has a really creepy stare instead hahah.

Edit: Changed the eye even more, think it's starting to look better now.

@ Shantia

I tried to make some adjustments to your portrait - I hope you don't mind. You can get an idea maybe of what was off. Because the image is too small, it's a bit difficult for me to correct the eye properly. I kept on flipping the canvas back and forth to get there. Hope this helps :)

Happy to help :) There is a point at which it is difficult for me to explain just what is off in a drawing. Glad you did not mind me making adjustments directly :)

@Tesh, no I like it, it's much easier to understand what someone means, I have already started making adjustments, it's a bit scary, I don't want to change how she looks completely. you did the nose so good, I been really struggling with that on this one, on the others it's been a part that I found easier than the rest.

@Teshayel - Izzy looks really good so far! She's translating well into the Assassin Order.

I love AC too and I wish that there were more female protags. Or that Liberation could be released on PS3 or 4! Aveline (Grandpre  :P) seems like a really cool character, but alas, I have no Vita.  :(
