Zhenya's looking good Ceru, I specially like the hair and shoulder pads; for me, it's a nightmare to draw that kind of bulky armour. Nose seems a bit big, but perhaps Zhenya's like that?
Further progress on vintage drawing practice; now I'll begin with the colour pencils (note to self: buy larger watercolour pads, drawing sketch paper no good)

Since I couldn't understand where the face planes are supposed to be (even while looking at tutorial books) I tried to draw her skeleton first & ignore the muscles (since I got her screenshot reference with neutral expression).
I still struggle with the face planes too mostly because I usually don't render my drawings and I am more comfortable with the anatomy. But it is a nice tool that I will definitely give it a try. I think those face planes are much like the building lines with time and experimentation you will find a set of planes that makes sense for you. I really love how you made your head construction, especially the nose.
Nose is a nightmare for me, more than the ear, but it is the same as the planes of the head, each book shows a different set of planes, and sometimes you will need to change your set of planes depending of the type of nose you are trying to build. But again it requires time and experimentation.
Do you learn anatomy by yourself?
Figure drawing, and character drawing in particular, is what I like most and my main goal is to draw them from imagination. So with that said, there is a DVD called The Structure of Man that I have bought years ago that goes through the process of simplifying the human anatomy (skeleton and muscles) to make it easier to memorize, almost 200 lessons. I am not saying that the author is an amazing artist, nor that the DVD is for everyone, and looking back I would question some of the material presented on the DVD, however the methodology of repetition and simplification of the human form helped me a loot, combined with some good anatomy books around, and drawing every single day for two years, yeah lots and lots of drawings, but I improved a lot. Unfortunately it was a long time ago...

So much speculation...
While this will not be the pose that I have in mind for the composition that I am practising anatomy for, it will be finished. Well, the same style as the portrait I posted recently of Cullen It will be some time before I will actually be able to work on that drawing, but in the meantime, warmup exercises will be anatomy studies. And apparently this is all I can do in 30 mins... I fail at drawing quickly

Rather off topic but on Tumblr for some of you who follow my drawing blog only (cerulione-draws), that one's the secondary & no reblog there, purely for my own drawing journal. All my reblog is on my main blog (cerulione). So don't be confused if on the notes you see Cerulione reblog that but it's not on my drawing blog 
I made a separate drawing blog that I can show to my RL friends & family who are not on Tumblr since they got lost on my main blog with all those dragon age reblogs. That is to say, if ever something's NSFW it won't ever be on my drawing blog...
I use an art tag to separate my drawings from the clutter, and have a tab at the top of the page labeled "My Artwork" that you can select, and presto - clutter - gone!
Ok, I'll add your other tumblr as well, and reblog to ask whether to make him into Cullen. My only dilemma is that the original model is smoking hot. He has the same smoldering look that my hubby gives me sometimes... I call 'em "bedroom eyes"

The dilemma is that the guy is so handsome, I kinda want to draw him... Cullen is awesome, don't get me wrong, but that model is closer to my type But, because Cullen fans are so cool, I might render that anatomy study as Cullen at the end. I'll just work on my hubby's portrait to make up for not drawing my type in a while

Ceru, I agree with Tesh, save the nose the rest is looking quite nice and I like the shading! Don't be so hard on yourself.
I started the Flemeth as queen of the ravens drawing and it's looking good. Everything looks good before shading

@Ceru, if you going to redraw him, the eyes are too close together, usually the space between the eyes is the length of one eye.
My Nigel Thornberry doodle was an April Fool's prank, everyone I think you'll be happy to learn that most people wanted to see Cullen in that sketch, and I obliged. I went for a more mature and rugged look. Lots of work left to do, but so far it's been fun
