Basically that's from a joke from my co-workers. I work with people from many different countries and we switch languages in seconds everytime. Once after an exceptionally heavy lunch of potato and ham & cheese (tartiflette, Idk if you guys know this dish?), I started to mix the whole languages because I'm so sleepy by the digestion. So well... My co-workers sent me a Mr Potato Head colouring page

Uthvir, the red hunter from this fic. Didn't manage to change the arrow position. TBH I'm kinda scared since the writer said that this is a non-binary person and there's already at least 5 people telling me "she looks so cute". But well...

Updated main file because after a discussion with my Mom, she said that there's not enough contrast between the archer & background and suggested yellow to "lock in" more elements (collar & bow). So here it is.

Ceru, I like the strong lighting. Are you trying to learn cel shading? 

 

The only recommendation I'd have is that the fox should be throwing a bit of shadow onto the main character, and that her attire would pick up the reds in the fox's fur.

I also like the archer, your mom's advice was a good one  Maybe people assume the archer is a she because she has long-ish hair and full lips; the person looks quite androgynous to me.

Trying new techniques on SAI (Photoshop keeps crashing so I can't use it anymore T___T), shading with 4 different blue tones on multiply layer so actually there was only one skin tone unlike most people who use like 10++.

Amazing work, Ceru! Those eyes are really powerful. I also like the soft light. The left part of the nose and the texture on the hand feel a bit strange, but otherwise is very nice. I love how there are no details on the right part that is the darkest one.

Guess that the darkest part is better left without detail? Just blending in the shadow? I want a part of them in the shadow and Squish (the gal)'s in the light. Just metaphorical choice.

You don't need to update it, it was a suggestion for future drawings; sorry Ceru, I'm so clumsy today   Anyway, now it looks better!

 

Yes to the darkest part, it's supposed to be exactly like that so I love it  I tend to obsess about detail and forget how it's lost in brigthest and darkest areas; from now on I'll remember your drawing as a reminder 

 

By the way forgot to add that I love your process gifs. It's fascinating and also very useful seeing how a drawing was built.
