Wow really dramatic image Ceru, good job! I guess you finally went for the half-gore approach?

Aaaawwww Tesh your puppy portraits are so adorable. And so expressive! You manage to get a different expression from each pet.

I went with the No Gore approach because people are screaming at me including my screaming at myself. I don't have the heart to actually draw the left wingstump half ripped from the back. That character's my icon actually. People say that the best way to describe horrible thing is by comparing it to small pretty things and just describe the small things overall...

Tesh's puppies are <3

Ok then, screaming at yourself is not good  :D Is your character icon some sort of... vampire elf? (love your cute icons btw)

My dress is finally finished! I'm so so proud of how it came out. But the most important thing is that I enjoyed immensely (I enjoy shading creases for hours on end, I'm crazy like that  :P

WHOA... the dress is... Whoa. Okay. Wow. I'm seriously impressed. That's a very patient work & detailed one. The embroidery is just... <3

Ooo I love looking at the Process GIF. Always curious on what's the first thing people draw, although it seems like everyone's laying down the basic form first :D

Fixing my personal Solavellan Ending... :D

Spoiler

Changing the format to 16 : 9 to make it a tumblr banner. It's making Dead Center composition though so... O.o

Hehe thanks :D

About the Elf in Red... (that icon), I don't know if anyone read the fic Looking Glass (Arlathan Alternate Universe), if yes it's huge spoiler of what that elf is. Not a Vampire XD

If you don't like the ending given to you, make your own :) I like that philosophy :D Wonderful work, Ceru :) I really like this piece.

Thank you so much, Ceru!! Yes, it seems we all follow more or less the same process :D

That's the good thing about drawing, your headcanon is not only in your head hehe I didn't read Looking Glass, the story of that character is very original and intriguing. Definitely feels material!

That's not only feels materials, that's what screaming on the inside the whole 230 k words feels like plus wanting to go kill Andruil O.o

The best thing of the story is that Red Spike is not the tearjerker character like so many tropes ended up

I ended up adding the "fix the ending" part of the short stories or it's more or less me & another gal who draw the tearjerker parts

My fixing a certain short fic's ending...

Close Up because I really love drawing her face

Said it before, but this is such a strong image, Ceru! I love how very emotional it is. Great work!

Said it before, but I love the hands. It's funny because when I see the picture I see the eyes, than the hand. The slight crooks of the fingers, it speaks a lot....

Thank you, Ceru! I'm so glad I decided to fully draw her left hand as well. It makes the image look more complete.

And, this image has been quite a journey. Started it in 2010! Maybe I'll post a process gif at some point...

Whew... 5 years. That must be a journey... If I may ask, what's making it taking so long?

Just a 3 hours screenshot study. My first ever value/colour study & I took an easy one and wanted to do it in 90 minutes. Ended up needing 3 hours.

Spoiler

On Black & White the value looks quite OK but the colour is too saturated I guess esp. for the tree. And there's not enough light spilling from the horizon.

Ceru, your study looks fantastic! This kind of exercise will be very useful :)

Madame took so long because I just did not like how things looked. So I kept changing stuff about it. Until it somehow clicked recently, and I was able to power through :)

Ceru, I agree with Tesh, it's such a powerful image; and I agree with you, her face is really lovely.  <3 Very powerful and sweet image. The value exercise looks very good to me, even saturation, but I don't have a very good eye with colours yet.

Tesh, it's lovely! Wow, I don't know if I'd be able to finish something I drew back in 2010 (in fact I've tried finishing old drawings and it's always a disaster) The fan looks fan-tastic!  :D I love the left hands fingers position, though there is something slightly off about the nails, I can't tell exactly what.

Flowers are so difficult to paint; I love flowers, when I started with watercolours I thought "Now I will paint loads of flowers!" Then I tried to paint a poppy and all I got was a red stain  I love your colours, violet and green is one of my favourite combinations.

Hehe :) Vor, nails are off because I always have trouble drawing them, and I couldn't figure out how to do it properly this time either, and I really wanted to finish this drawing :) So yeah :)

My grandmother used to draw flowers so beautifully, but I just don't have the patience :) Oh, well... I have Alistair's portrait to work on now, so that's ok :)

Nails are tricky (who would say?) It's one of those things you think are so easy but it's so difficult to make them look natural. Anyway, the rest of the painting is gorgeous :)

Alistair portrait, now that's good motivation!

Flowers have this quality of being so translucent but opaque at the same time... O.o

It's like the slightest change in lighting makes them look so differently. But you truly do a great job with that one. The change of the opacity & colour shifts feels so soft yet it actually has the needed contrast.

And yeah, fingernails' one of these stuffs which people don't often put so much attention to at first place, but if it's not done correctly it feels just weird...

I really enjoy drawing this. It's been a while since there is a painting I truly truly truly love doing without crying at all XD. People in tumblr are screaming for  Jurassic World/Park crossover with Looking Glass and some people are doing things for this AU so well... here's my contribution

The value feels off but otherwise I can't make the red good enough.
