IIRC there's also several where font managed to put Cullen's fur in high-rez & make it look like bear fur rather than Feathers.

Ugh the fur! I've been avoiding them because they're just messy in everything I do! I see drawings and they manage to make it flow with such great structure I can't replicate. Maybe I'll play around and stick him in a hugh heffner style smoking jacket instead

Guess that trying to draw the fur as fur and not as feather might help... Up to now it's been presented to us as feather-textured: quite long. But in reality bear furs are shorter.Maybe just drawing the outline + a few texture of short fur here and there? Hmmm I'll try this concept tomorrow.

Just one thing I noticed. Based on your light direction, shouldn't the Quizzy cast a shadow onto Cullen?

@ Vorathrad: can't wait! Watercolours are super difficult to master. Flamenco... Reminds me of last summer in Barcelona

Just finished R2s' Del... Try to make her looks like a girl, adding some breast & hips but I don't know whether it's girly enough. My own quizzy Luthiel ended up looking like a long-haired guy already apparently.

 

Learnt to use Photoshop's bucket tool & magic wand, it did simplify a lot of process... (why the heck I even bother to colour manually each layer before?)

Thanks, Ceru! Yeah I always choose the most difficult option xD But I always had such a difficult relationship with colours, and I like so much the look of watercolours+pencil paintings, I don't mind the learning process.

I see improvement in your drawing, I specially like the form and colouring of the rose. But yeah, she looks quite androgynous, can't really say whether it's a boy or a girl. Perhaps making the waist curve more pronounced and with a bit shorter jacket to make it more noticeable?

Ceru, you can make Del look a little more feminine by adding longer lashes, and giving a nice curvature to her waist and hips. Also, draw in lips rather than a single line for her mouth
