If you're in Lyon area I know a very good store that sells dress like that. Some can even be worn daily IMO... My ex-room mate in college got a medieval cape that she can wear as daily winter coat ;)

Naaaah that "Dessine moi un chat" is a direct reference to Le Petit Prince's "dessine-moi un mouton", t'as raison :D

Is that an audio-drama recording? Or music? Wow I never know there's such thing! Apparently there's the movie (that's going out this year?) but I don't think I'm going to see it, I'm not sure it can keep the magic actually... The book is just magical.

Wow I don't know that even exist! Thanks for sharing :)

Another one from St Exupery's. I'm not sure whether this is considered fanart or not since the wee elf with big head is an original character. India ink pitt marker & tipp-ex.

@Morlanwen, if I could, I woud have sewn lots of dresses for myself! :D

That is so beautiful, Ceru, I'm feeling like reading The Petit Prince again! I think your drawings fit so well, I think we can call it "acompanying art" instead of fan art ;)

T talked to someone in tumblr (slugette) about learning to draw & she suggested to do a 30 days challenge. So here we are, 30 days of sketching the head. Not sure I can actually keep this up though...

I don't have my tablet with me for the moment... So ink & copic marker.

Ceru, that is an awesome idea to keep a sketch book that way! I am sure you will be amazed at how much you will have progressed by the end. And it will not seem like a chore because... you know... Cullen :D

Hehe I got more than one sketchbook going on right now, there's this mini travelling one for when I'm not at home (which is a lot lately) and can fit in my mini bag, my normal A4, and this moleskine-wannabe. In the moleskine wannabe there's actually... no trial at all. I've usually work things out elsewhere, it's this book that contains only finished stuffs...

Say, how many sketchbook do you guys do at the sametime?

I have several sketchbooks with different paper in them. One is plain that can work for pencils and charcoals (that's the one I use most often), one is for water colours, one has sepia tone paper, and one has black paper. I have one for markers as well, but I am horrible with that medium. Aaaand the sketchbooks are mostly empty. Why? Because I doodle on my computer :P I used to sketch quite a lot when I was still attending art classes, but nowadays, I do everything in PS. Still, ideas for acrylics or water colour paintings are still explored in pencil first in my plain sketchbook :)

Hehe I'm quite entranced with sketchbook actually. last time there was a discount in the art supply store and I ended up buying 3 at the same time... (it's half price each if you buy three at once...). Idk when I'll ever finish it. I just finished my first mini sketchbook (the A5 for "not at home" moments) two days ago actually. But the A4 will take forever to finish.

There's this funny feeling when I touch the sketchbooks, they are just magical. Open one and wonder, what's inside?

I only have one sketchbook, it's A4 for pencil and charcoal (I sometimes use watercolour on it with funny results :D) I'd love to have several in different colours and formats, but I've bought two or or three other sketchbooks through the years and they ended up forgotten in a drawer. So I want to finish my current one before treating myself to different sketchbooks :)

I have one notebook for pencil sketches, and a pad of watercolor paper for painting. I have a bigger sketchbook with lots of pages, but it's heavy so I don't draw in it as much. I've been trying to teach myself to draw faster, so I just use my notebook mostly. I'm still very slow at watercolor  :pinched:

Sorry for the double post but I wanted to try drawing with markers, without a pencil sketch first! Here is the result:

Thanks ;)

TBH I don't like the background being not "smooth"... But I don't know how to do better for now since it's not Copic but India Ink (water based). Copic would give better results but the ink will bleed to the back of the page. I really want to make a two-pages Moleskine just full of these kind of things so I can't have the bleeding :(

Having a glass of water helps though... But it makes the paper saturate more & got destroyed more... ARGH...
