The same place a good final battle is.

From what I can tell, Corypheus is entirely mobile, with no specific base of operations.

You're not worthy of it.

He took over that campsite you used in DAO.
He walks around to the same music, listening to Leliana One of his Companions drone on and on.

I bet he ate that cheese wheel that was just sitting around near the campfire all year long.
Warden's gonna be pissed.

He probably had several bases throughout Thedas and used the wilderness/Deep Roads to move himself, his troops and his army's gear from base to base. Making sure not to stay at one base for to long. He had the man-power to pull it off and moving around would make it super hard for someone to pick up his trail as well. Though given how cocky he is, I bet he had a main base before he found out that the Inquisition was still a threat after Haven.

He has a dragon. He probably chills at the top of a mountain. Pun not intended.

I am guessing he moved around a lot. The temple of dumat was probably a base at one point also as pointed out earlier there is a good chance he used the deep roads a lot.

If Corypheus was moving around, I'd be interested to see what those camps, and all the mobile infrastructure, looked like. We never see any of that in game, just Red Templars or mages attacking. I guess Samson's lab that we raid will be as close as we get.He probably had several bases throughout Thedas and used the wilderness/Deep Roads to move himself, his troops and his army's gear from base to base. He left it with his jazz ensemble, the Corypheus Trio.

Imo they missed some huge opportunities with this game. Things like trying to track Corypheus, finding his camps and caving in sections of the Deep Roads should have been in the game. Not a bunch of MMO style side quests. Sure they would have been side questish, but they would have a deeper connection to the story and could have provided some great moments if done correctly. Anything would have been better than collecting ram meat and herbs.

Corypheus seemed to inspire a certain amount of loyalty. though twisted, in the henchmen/lieutenants that we run in to. Was Corypheus' camp an emerging competing sphere of influence, similar the Inquisition?

This is what bothered me, we should have seen some indication of where he was operating out of?
In KOTOR, you knew that Malak was operating out of the Star Forge, but you had to find out where it was? In DAO, you knew that Loghain was operating out of Denerim, but you didn't have any means of getting to him and the Archdemon's location was a mystery to everyone? In ME2, you knew where the Collector base was, you just couldn't get through the Omega 4 relay to get to it and needed to find a way how? In ME3, you knew that the Illusive Man was controlling Cerberus from his base, you just didn't know where it was until near the end of the game?
The closest comparison to another Bioware villain I can think of is probably Saren and Harbinger in ME, since they also had power bases scattered about, but stayed mobile and in close proximity to one another? Of course, I think that dynamic worked better in ME because Shepard also was mobile in the Normandy, so you got the sense this was an epic chase? In Inquisition, it's more like we're fox-hunting, sending a pack of hounds to do the chasing for us, while we sit on our horses and blow horns occasionally.

He probably had a lot of bases all over Thedas.
Cornflakes being Cornflakes, he probably kept a gaggle of Wardens in everyone of them for ease of access. Whenever he felt like popping in for some tea with Samson in one base, BOOM! Resurrects himself in a Warden Samson keeps in a 'In Case of Bro-Time' glass case. Then he charges a wall or implies that modern Tevinter fashion is awful to one of his followers, and BOOM! He's in the Warden left behind physically in the Fade and uses that loophole to circumnavigate the whole screwing up the Anchor thing. Cue Golden City touchdown for Cornflakes.
The real reason Cornflakes was trying to subvert the Warden Order in the South was that he is an old man that is very practiced at dying, but hates walking around, and he's running out of Wardens.
