On a separate note, PenguinFetish has been banned for the weekend, so if any of you wonders where the hell he disappeared to, that's your answer.
What does that say when a company temp-bans someone who was their biggest supporter? How much time and effort has Penguin put into this game, how many guides has he worked hard to bring the community? How do you screw up so bad that you feel the need to ban someone who clearly loves the game?
Hahaha, I called it a couple days ago.
I wonder which Mod or member of BiowarEA he supposedly upset? Which arbitrary rule he broke?
BSN has always been like this, if you say something that may even slightly hurt some extremely sensitive shutins feelings, you're branded as worse than Hitler and the sole cause for everything wrong in everyones lives.
Anyways, banhammer incoming, again...

Recent intervention looks pretty sensible to me:

Penguin is big boy that can defend himself. Were u guys there, in the loop or saw the ban message?
Did u guys see the official cause of the ban? Or are we speculating again and venting?

You jumped to other people's defence, but it's not ok for anyone to jump to Penguin's?

Penguin will only be freed once he accepts Amelia's thunderdome challenge and beats her.
I'll bet one of my Enhanced Spirit Mark rings on Penguin.

On the Internet: you blame the freedom of speech, big corporation blindly and speculate on matters that u know nothing.
I don't know what happen to penguin but before blaming ea or whoever I will try and ask him for the facts when he returns. Defending is one thing, blindly defending is another.

It's not really about defending, it's about keeping the controversy going. To them, it doesn't matter what the truth of it is. Look at the example that started this thread off, a bit of information twisted to allow for people to LARP at being protestors. Same thing here.

Forgive me for going a bit sentimental here, but bear with me.
I don't want to leave DAMP either, and I am stubborn as you are. I've been following Bioware since Baldur's Gate. Their games have kept me company in my darkest teenage angst-infilled years and I've spent countless hours since then playing each and every one of their titles. Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights, KOTOR, Jade Empire, they are all games I loved completely, even with all their faults. Mass Effect has been a revelation and delivered an experience that went far beyond what I ever thought I could expect from it. I met my partner PenguinFetish playing ME3MP (which btw still is the most amazing MP experience I've ever had) and that game will always have a special place in my heart even many many years from now.
Dragon Age has been my favourite fantasy RPG series of all time and I can't put into words how excited and enthusiastic I was about finally having the chance to play its MP with my partner and sharing something I loved so much. When it became clear that the game was bugged to the point of being unplayable, I still had faith that BW would put things right as soon as possible, in a timely fashion. So I didn't rage, didn't whine and didn't complain and waited patiently for them to fix their game. Sadly, that hope and good faith began to dwindle when it started to become clear that the old Bioware interactions with its fans was nowhere to be found, and with each misleading patch note, broken promise, disappointing patch, attempt at guilt tripping us for voicing opinions, posts that treated us like children, I became more and more resigned to the fact that this is not going to be the game we all expected it to be. Not for a long while anyway.
I'm not even angry anymore. I'm just very, very disappointed. So I'll take my leave for now and maybe I'll come back to it later, if I'll still have people to play it with by the time it will be out of this alpha stage it's in. I tip my hat to Bioware, because managing to drive me away, of all people, is really an epic accomplishment. Keep up the good work.
On a separate note, PenguinFetish has been banned for the weekend, so if any of you wonders where the hell he disappeared to, that's your answer.
I've been into Bioware games since ME1 came out. Though I've never been much of a fanboy, always been very critical when needed be.
ME3 was my first true MP experience. I've played other games before and after, but only when I had friends to play with. ME3 was the first MP game I would play just for the sake of playing it. And with thousands of hours played, I've met many great people there. And interestingly I've met my ex while playing ME3. I've never actually mentioned it on BSN, but it feels good knowing I am not the only one who started a relationship playing ME3, lol (from speed running to speed dating, right?)
Anyway, whenever I go back to ME3 I get into a heightened nostalgic mode for several reasons. But for what it is worth, it was and it still is such a fantastic game.
I try to see Damp as ME3 spiritual successor, though it feels like anything but that. This game was 'ok' for me up until a week ago, but since then the frustrations have been popping up by the day. Seeing most of my friends moving on was the latest blow.
It is reasonable to give it a break now. I understand why many people are doing it. But I guess I am just too stubborn and I will still try to keep playing it somehow.

No worries, Penguin is lurking the forums in incognito mode. Keep an eye on his youtube channel tonight for a video update on recent events.

Seriously how do you know this? And if this is true nice bloody job EAWare. I'm going to suggest that PenguinFetish appeal this and go after the person who made this happen since in no way have I seen anything from him that was an attack on anyone besides him doing what I do and calling people out on their mistakes.

If someone bought a brand new car, and it's delivered to your house. You are just about to go for a drive in this new epic marvel that can go anywhere in the open world we live, and realize, that the shift stick is missing.
I sincerely ask myself, how many here saying, give them time.. Would say this very same thing, getting to the car retailer, explain issue, sit down and wait, and wait, and wait and.. wait.. and then someone shows up and gives you a spare tire with really fancy rims.
It's the principle.
