I will still play it occasionally, but it is clear the game will not be what we had hoped. No reason to get all upset about it, other stuff to play out there and quite honestly, I feel like we are railing against Devs who have been given this huge task and probably have never even played Mass Effect 3 or even gamed much.  
 
And one Bioware rep's response tells you everything you need know:

 
Thats right people!! 1 Developer was working in the last month for a game that sold 1.14 million copies in the first week alone. Probably topping 2.5 million copies sold by now and they dedicated 1 developer to fixing a huge myriad of gamebreaking problems.
 
So we argue with them and to their credit, when they do respond, they do get into a dialog with the community(albeit sporadically). But what is the point? They argue against what the saner minds in the community know to be true. We seem to be trying to make this game better despite Bioware's best efforts and guess what, the Devs will win every time.
 
My advice: Just move on(or back to ME3) and check back in a few months...

I can confirm the key issue still exists.  It doesn't happen as much but static cage and firestorm still cause it to happen.  As for your opinion if you are going to voice it you really shouldn't start a post with "Oh....i know, u ll hate this post" and if you are older then us then you must know how to use proper grammar.  Just sayin'.

I can't speak for the guy, but I believe he was referring to you as "ameila" as in on an alt name.  He wasn't trying to call someone in on you.  You're being absurd.

i was not saying that the key bug doesnt exist anymore. i just wrote, i didnt see it since patch. I´m really sorry that my english isnt good enough, its my 3th language and i think nobody is perfect. ii decided to join the forum now - i know i´m new here - but dont see any reason why u r calling me by her name.

I will say, however, that anyone with an IQ greater than that of a turnip and access to Google could discover for themselves the agenda you were painting. While I'm not saying BioWare is faultless for recent affairs I *am* saying that slapping together an out of context smear campaign an epileptic monkey could fact check is intellectually offensive.

Hello darreCZ, I would not be concerned, English is my 2nd language so I understood the point you were making because I recognised your sentence construction.

It is perfectly reasonable to say you did not see the bug, because you did not.

It still exists, but occurring less frequently.

 

The reference to Amelia was a joke.

Because your comment was more positive than others who report about the bug,

the joke was that you were actually one of the moderators pretending to be someone else.

It was mildly amusing (it will not win any awards for comedy),

but was not at your expense.

Also, Allan Schumacher was pretty clear that, so cooler heads might prevail, we should avoid attempts to create an alternate discussion to the very thread you reference.  I tend to agree with him, especially when such attempt is nothing more than a thinly veiled ad hominem.  Get it together, man.  You're better than this.

With ME3 it was widely seen as forgivable since it was BW first MP attempt (and was really fun). DAI doesn't get that same pass from fans. The devs are still human...but considering the fallout from ME3 and now DAI, is it really a smart idea to mock the players? They might as well hire Adam Orth and have him post "DEAL WITH IT!" after a thread criticizing Bioware.

Thinking similar.  My guess is one of the difficulties is simply in getting the Frostbite3 engine smoothened out.  Take DICE for instance.  So much experience in making MP (I soooo loved BF1942), but BF4 on the new engine.... wow, I couldn't believe they released the game in the same state as the beta test. 

 

Anyhow, point being is they still having a learning curve with this new engine, and the sooner thet get it sorted the better.  Between techinical issues, lack of communication with the player community, and some PR issues, well let's say BW needs to look at who they were pre-EA, and who they are now with EA.  Change for the better is required.

Stuff that, if Penguin got banned for some stupid reason (not 100% sure as to the reason but if it is what I have heard then the mods are absolutely out of their minds) it needs to be brought up so people can see what is really happening here.  Namely heavy handed people abusing their power, and for what?  Because he had the gall to make a video of issues that have been in the game since launch and also to point out the truth on how posts, tweets, questions etc are handled?

 

They need to really consider making a public apology to him not only for being banned for a stupid reason but also for the way the thread he made was nuked into the ground by BWEAmelia.  Allen did the right thing I believe but I stand by my words that he needs an apology.

His agenda was a simple one, fix the game please.  Yes, he made references to a certain employee.  Take out the emotions and I simply agree with his references.  There is no need for a cat meme or call for expertise in game design to voice one's opinions.  A company stands in front of their employees not the other way around.

 

I personally like to know the real reason as to why he was banned.  This could be censorship for a very valid argument even though it was created with a negative context.

No he didn't make references to a certain employee because he has a problem with said employee, he was just showing evidence of typical answers you get from EAWare developers when you do get one.  It just so happened that BWEAmelia was the guilty party in this and let us not forget that she broke privacy between herself and PenguinFetish in regards to a PRIVATE conversation they had on Reddit.  Now she didn't say what that conversation consisted of but the fact she mentioned it at all should tell you a few things.  Also if you read further then the video itself you will see he addressed that issue.

 

I would not be surprised to find out if he was banned because he dared to file a complaint against a certain employee with EA.

The video is on Youtube, if he wants to cuss he can,  The employee has made herself out to be a wonderful example of a helpful dev with her replies of dogs and what not to people.  I see no where that he broke any rules by putting that video up.  If it is against the rules than maybe EAWare should file a DMCA against him on Youtube for it, oh right if they do that it will be an illegal use of the DMCA.  So no he did not do anything wrong by starting that thread nor did he by posting a video.  Now if he did go off on a dev in a post or PM and there was a valid reason to ban him then he is in the wrong and I do not support that.  Trouble is so far what I have seen and heard the reasoning for the ban is sketchy at best and absolutely a power trip by someone at the worst.  As for the nick being included in the screenshots how about you watch this and then tell me it was wrong.  That stuff happens all the time and once it is on the net it is too late.

Penguin is a big boy and I'm sure he's just fine. I really don't think he took it too far with his video at all. Frankly, if "BioWare" had any issues with the video, the thread/post would not have been locked, but outright deleted.

My issue is still lack of communication and action on BioWare's part. What do they think is going to happen when they left the game in such a sad state for this long? They buried their heads in the sand while the vocals here just got more and more tired of the charade. When BWEAmelia did post in this forum, usually it was in the form of an excuse or some other non-answer...

When "Patch 3" released they proclaimed all this stuff as fixed... Then within a couple of hours, players started posting that the "fixed" issues were still happening. Not to mention the total lobotomy they gave the Reaver's skill tree where Dragon Rage no longer heals when Rampage is active. Amelia goes on in another thread that the change was intended and now Dragon Rage no longer costs HP to activate. Yet the tool tip for the skill still says it costs health.

It's becoming increasingly apparent that DA:I is a broken mess... Yet rather than fix the problems they come in here and cesure the people that are fed up with it. You can only ignore your customers for so long before they get enraged. Amelia's lip service isn't the proper way to do business.

Half of it was angry people rambling about EA is devil, Bioware sucks, they have no control over their employees, a non stop pitch forking of words from an employee extremely blown out of proportion. If I recall right some people than started blaming Dice and the stupid frostbite engine. People that said calm down were called Bioware fanboys or something like that. And it finally turn into the lawyer fiasco debate on  who is real lawyer and not. Who is accountable for this mess etc....

 

(Go read every page, most of the posts were just angry people rambling not event stating why they thing Bioware sux.)

 

It might have started in the right direction but quickly became a angry mob rant post.

 

When peaceful protest turns violent because of a few rotten apple , the police disperse everyone and stops the protest. (I'm guessing Bioware did the same thing before it got even more out of hand).

 

If they really wanted to hide or censor it, they would have deleted the entire topic. Its still there for everyone to read.
