Orlais should join Nilfgaard.
^.^
No doubt, but I wish that the North should welcome these elves... because Nilfgaard can treat evil wizards, but the elves: ''It is mostly inhabited by humans, but They pride Themselves on the elven blood running through veins Their. Indeed, the language is derived Nilfgaardian from the Elven Elder language. Thus the Empire, in contrast to the North, treats nonhumans relatively well.''

Zevran has charm.
The word you're looking for is "slime". Zevran has slime.
If I had a quarter for each time I said "GODDAMNIT ANDERS" or some variation thereof, I'd have laundry money for life.
Yeah, this.

Zevran (pretty well adjusted for someone who was raised as a killer) and Solas (he's Fen'Harel, I'm pretty sure this disqualifies him from 90% of lists).. meh
The rest are varying degrees of crazy.

Like Bartrand, Branka, Ruck, Hespith... I think we got dwarves covered, heh.
Now that I think about it, it's likely that you meant as companions. Oops. Well, between Oghren and Varric and Sigrun there's too much awesome in the group already to allow for any crazy

Fire up DA2 and have some more crazy elf Fenris time. Sigh.
Edit: for the record- I love Fenris and do not think he's crazy. He's at the top of my list of favorite characters.

Except for Merrill. She's beyond crazy.

Merrill might be adorable, but she's a blood mage who had relations and pacts with a demon, which is, well, crazy for 99% people in southern Thedas, including her own clan.
Merrill made no pact with any spirits. The spirit she spoke to, Audacity, was cut off from the Beyond, and she learned blood magic from it without releasing it from the totem.
Smart, capable, informed about magic and having studied lore on the Eluvians. I do wish Merrill had been a companion in Inquisition instead of Dragon Age II, since her story would have been much more relevant - and it would've been nice to have a companion who actually liked the Dalish and gave a pro-Dalish perspective.

Remember that time Merrill asked Hawke to kill her because she wanted to release Audacity for more info?
It's too bad Marethary had to die because of her stupid.
But then Audacity played them both for fools. He needed a way out and he had two options.
Your praises of Merrill make me cringe so much...it's painful.

And maybe you need glasses too... I hear straining your eyes in front of a screen can be deadly.

Actually, Merrill says she suspects Audacity is already free in Act III, and asks Hawke to come with her as a precautionary measure in case the spirit is free.
Merrill never says she will release Audacity, and explicitly tells aggressive Hawke she has no intention of doing so.
It's too bad Marethary had to die because of her stupid.
Marethari is the one who freed Audacity. I don't see any reason to blame Merrill for Marethari's actions.

Agreed. I would have loved to have taken Merrill to the Temple of Mythal along with Solas.

Maybe go for something "hardcore"... if you complain to the doctors enough, they hand the dope out like hotcakes. ![]()

Crazy elfmasterrace.
I doubt OP intended for logical discussion, but personally I don't see any of the elves as crazy. Zevran was quirky, but not crazy. Merrill seemed crazy, but thanks to Inquisition we now know she was essentially right. Fenris is tortured, not crazy. Sera is...possibly crazy or deliberately playing it up. Solas is out of touch, but also not crazy. [Although I imagine he enjoys sitting on a porch somewhere, shaking a stick at the crazy modern youth.]
Also you are forgetting Velanna! You may remember her as 'blonde Morrigan'. She was a little axe crazy, I'll give you that.

There's no real need to deal with them tbh, leave elves on their own for long enough and they inevitably do something really stupid and get themselves killed.
Easier to just wait it out.

Velanna was a bit much.
As for the rest of them? Worth it.
Yeah, Velanna was definitely the most homicidally crazy of them all when you first met her. None of the others attacked you with freaking trees!
(Sure, Zevran did try to assassinate you, but he later admits his whole reason for accepting the contract was to commit suicide-via-Warden)
