That's who the Elder One reminds me of. I can see why peoples arent impressed or say "forgettable" and its first impressions IMO so far. But villians with "pets" that are seemingly much more powerful then them are always interesting to me.

No Spoilers just a description of what a bad guy looks like but just in cas you don't want to know heres some space..

These old horror movies may even be to old for my generation but i still remember watching them and even watched the original last Halloween. Pumpkin head is a talk skinny monster with a deformed, head that's too large for his body. he is disfigured and barely even has a face if even.  The elder one flaw was  in his look and presentation. The first time i see the guy i chuckled a bit and thought a Templar was pissed off and coming to get all my red lyrium reserves with an army a phiends. Or Pumpkinhead!! The very first time you see the elder one you';ll laugh or cry or hate the game but play thru the questline till the cutscene when you see him again. Then you might not be swayed or yu might think its not as bad looking.

Im sure concept designs whee awesome but final renders and the Frostbite Engine not being able to do hair, feathers, cloth movement or subtle details like these it makes Elder look like a block head. Perhaps they should of waited until the second encounter to reveal him. OR rendered a hood tat droops over the eyes just enough to where they cant be seen but he could still see. Then made the lyrium corruption all over his face more proportional because hes the elder one and he can do that. LIke spikes that protruded thru the hood on both sides and on top and around the head like a sublte looking crown without too many spikes and still making them larger and smaller than another.

Blockhead or a guy with terribly infected headwounds....

What do you think of this description, the elder one's appearance, and what input do you have based on appearance only.

Remember...

(the first Appearance of a Villian can influence what the someones ultimate opinion is in the end. If the Joker had perfectly applied face paint and lipstick smile with hair that was just perfectly completely green and basically a literall mimicking of the comic books of old then the performance of H. Ledger and the character he brought to life in tat specific movie would of been undermined by the underwhelming unimpressive look (Bane almost did this for the third film but that movies entire plot and story was IMO a damn good one. THe concept of it and everything but lets not get carred away to batman land..)

Worth pointing out that Pumpkinhead is a pretty fantastic creature feature horror film.

So at least he who must not be named is in good company.

I had no knowledge of Coryoheus prior to the games release, so I came in blind. That said, I thought cory's opening scene at Haven was good. He was this tall creepy guy with a menacing voice that let you know that this he wasn't playing around.

Well, well, well, speak of the devil, and he shall appear.

I'm in those boat. I didn't have a problem with the way he was introduced into the game, but perhaps my fear of tall people made him just a bit more scary to me. ;)
