I do a lot of saving, and periodically hit the 250 save game limit. It gets really old (not to mention painful) to click twice on every single save game to delete them ...that's hundreds of clicks. Can I safely do so by going to the save folder while not in game and deleting them there?
Can I delete old saves from Windows Explorer?

Wit the game closed, I do it by date, just keep the last 48 hours, but that's my choice for how much I play. You may want to keep more. Before I start a new game, I copy the saves folder and rename it to the name of that Inquisitor The delete ALL files in the Saves folder. I can rename it again and put it in the Documents folder if I want to play that one again. So my working saves folder only contains the game I am currently playing.

You could also try saving over a previous one instead of making new files each time.
