While your in the fade during the Adamant mission, the faux divine tells you that the mark allows you to physically survive in the fade. So how on earth do Hawke, (Alistar/Stroud/Loghain) and your 3 other party members survive then?

I believe it meant being able to survive the process of physically entering the Fade.
As the process of physically entering the Fade involves opening a rift large enough to go through(and actually crossing it), the reason why the others survive is, presumably, because they entered through the same rift, at the same time, as the Inquisitor.
