I think one of the servants said that Briala was the killer... but why would Briala kill all those servants? If the Venatori were the killers, why? Florrian said that only Celene was supposed to die.
Thanks,
Rob

Colonel Mustard in the kitchen with a candlestick.
No, Colonel Mustard killed the motorist with the lead pipe in the lounge.

I'm assuming it was the Grand Duchess' Venatori.

Briala killed them to replace them with her people, at first I wasn't sure but when the Inquisitor tells Celene this she asks her about it and Briala pretty much confirms it.

I knew all three candidates are terrible people, but ****.
If the OP meant the servants in the kitchens and in the garden, those were killed by the Venatori? Since we will encounter them in the garden and then Briala's people will appear and contain the area.
If the OP meant the corpses found in the upper area of the garden, the room that you need Hella statues to open. Those seems to be messengers and ambassdors of Celene and Gaspard who were killed by Briala so she can forge her own messages to instigate more conflicts between the two.
But why did the Venatori kill those servants? Corypheus only wanted Celene dead -- killing the servants seems unnecessary.
And on a related topic, why did Corypheus want Celene dead? Leliana says earlier that Corpheus wants chaos, i.e. keeping the civil war going.
Stranger still: were Briala and Florrian acting together? Briala tells the Inquisitor about the mercenary captain, then when the Inquisitor goes to rescue him, Florrian is there with an ambush.
None of the reasoning in this quest makes sense...
I'm glad I wasn't the only one who was confused by this quest. Even having gotten to the end of it and then later reading some guides about it, I didn't understand who killed all those people in the servants' wing. Actually, I'm still not sure I understand it after reading this thread. It seems like everybody was just killing everybody else, and nobody really knows who did what.
Most of those servants seen killed by either "Briala" and Morrigan, were actually the ones who led the venatori inside the Chateau. So they dressed like servants and interrogated/killed some of the real servants... Actually it's complicated. nevermind.
Let's say some servants you see were spies working for venatori, while a lot of nobles and stuff were performing their work just like the Inquisitor was. That's "The Game" though.

Hmm...that helps...maybe? So there were fake servants and real servants? The real ones having been killed by Venatori agents and fakes ones killed by Briala? heh. This quest made me feel dumb. But at the same time, I was just so obsessed over the possibility of losing court favor that I could barely focus on the story!
