OK so I've seen a lot about resetting inventory at the merchants etc....but I got the perk, went to the 2 places that sell the best crap and nothing new was at either place.  Not sure I've seen anything on that.  Has anyone else had this problem and if so how was it fixed?

Yeah the merchants only offers one new thing at a time.

I didn't get any new items from the base stuff he sold before I got the perk.  Like the perk didn't even work.

Their inventory needs to be reset. The method I have seen for this is:
Go to a merchant you do not care about in a region you dont care about resetting
Buy/sell from him
Save, close out of the game completely
Restart game and check the merchants

Some people also say setting the clock forward an hour or two in between exiting and restarting is needed or helps but it usually works for me without. It takes patience either way as sometimes they stock junk from the perknor seemingly nothing at allm All you can do is reset.

I am a console player... not sure if its the same as far as this refresh method is concerned.

To my knowledge it is. Just exit the game completely and restart as required by your console. Nothing should be too different since the pc version is basically a mediocre port.

Nope....Hissing Wastes Canyon Merchant still has Superb Cleansing Rune, and no Superb Schematics.  I tried like 5 times and nothing in the inventory changed.  Kind of a blower.

Was there a diamond above one of the categories? If so that means there's a perk item there.

The only Diamond is showing up in the Armor Category.  But it's the same armor...some helmet of the Drasca, and a unique rogue armor that isn't worth the money.  They never change.  I've tried everything from saving at Skyhold, Turning the game off, restarting it, going around to other merchants (whose stuff does seem to be different each time) and then returning to The Canyon guy.  He always has the same crap.

Are you going to another merchant, buying it selling something, then exiting the game - closing it at the Xbox dashboard (menu > quit game), then restarting?

I know it is frustrating. I went days without it refreshing, then tried the above and got 3 new resets in 5 tries. I know it can take more than that.

I too have the same exact problem. None of the items never change at all.

Seems after I moved the story along by completing the Winter Palace stuff, his inventory changed.  I had the best Rogue Armor pop up in his store.  So there is hope.
