PC player. My game has only crashed once that I remember. No bugs that I've noticed.

How interesting, about 70% of BSN appear to play on PC, I thought the console folk would be more...
And of the remainder, next-gen outnumber last-gen 5:1...
Has anyone ever said what the proportion of the 'real world' market PC vs Consoles actually is?

I mean, common sense suggests to me that there are far more PCs out there as there are consoles, whether they're used for gaming or not.
Everyone makes more noise about consoles, but taking into consideration the above, plus affordable games via steam sales and other avenues, plus the huge popularity of certain MMOs and other genres that are basically unheard of on consoles suggests to me that the majority of gamers game on a PC.
I don't know anyone other than myself (one of the poor, misguided souls who got the Inquisitor's Edition) who actually bought a physical copy of Inquisition, for what it's worth.

Survey should include whether intel or amd cpu/gpu, both these are mitigating circumstances over all, as most players seems to be having issues when intel/Nvidia is involved.
Answered truthfully, Game for me is unplayable in its current state, wish i'd taken the refund path when i had the chance.

Would it have been helpful to include more details about the nature of the instability?
Some players consider the game unplayable because the male elf's arms clip with the body. I consider twice-daily CTDs a minor annoyance. Banter works the way it should on my game, but my game seems to experience frequent NPC spawn failures.
Playing on the PC, Nvidia 770GTX with a physical copy of the game (also bought Inquisitor's Edition).
CTDs are unspecified video driver errors, recovery is usually painless and does not require a reboot.

I'm on a PC as well... (Nvidia SLI) and run into stuttering/crashes. Usually the game will crash once early on, forcing a reboot, then run fairly smoothly for a few hours after that... until I run into stuttering and crashing again.

Here I'm playing PS4. And the game is very stable, I only remember two crashes.

There's a huge audience on both consoles and PC. Your comment suggests console gaming is a minority which is not the case as the sales would show. This topic has just reached over 300 views, I don't think it's common sense to judge the entire gaming demograph based on one thread in one forum for one game. Yes there are more PCs out there than consoles but I'd wager many aren't capable of running half of these games and some people just aren't bothered to upgrade their PC to game on it.

I wouldn't say a HUGE majority, and I'm not really accounting for genres, just the overall market. I'm just thinking... WoW, DOTA style games, and FPS games (which are obviously and perhaps arguably bigger on consoles, but still, games like TF2 and Counter strike) might tip the scale.
Whatever the truth is, there are more people playing either CoD or League of Legends than there are playing Dragon Age (or similar games) on any platform. I'd lay a buck on that.

A digression, but do you use this outcome thing?
I'm super curious as to what it even is, and how it's OK to use. That's not a judgment, I just don't know how you can sidestep what I take to be the DRM in the case of EA games.

So just a perma "offline mode" basically?
That sounds interesting. I hadn't heard that Origin itself contributed to the crashes, but I had heard that the overlay (which I turned off) could cause problems. Thanks!

Well I didn't get game yet on over how buggy it is but I will answer for my friend who can't get past CC since she's always stuck in fade looking environment with none around (after fade cutscene) instead of being surrounded by Cass's soldiers. To me that sounds unplayable at least though I have seen people recommending different things to fix it, I don't know if she has managed to do that yet. However the game shouldn't be like that without you having to work hard to fix it by advices of fellow players ^^
EDIT: She's PC player ^^

I've lovingly dubbed the title of this game Crashing Age: Glitchquisition.
I game on a high-end PC and my game will crash-to-desktop if I spend an extended amount of time at the War-Table screen; it'll also crash during extended cut-scenes.
Never had an issue with Origins or II (unless I went crazy with mods)...so this is obviously the result of the new console focus for this series.
Disappointing to say the least.

(to DLaren) You do realise that simply because you never had those issues with Origins or II, does not mean others did not, right? That you have it with this game does not make it the "obviously" result of the new console focus.

PC. Only bug that ever hit me was this fresh "0 armor" one - I just remade my shield and that was that.
Oh, sometimes characters do weird stuff in cutscenes, like go crosseyes, but I've yet to see a game NOT end up with quirks like that. Nothing that interferes with gameplay has happened to me. (Yet.)

I have loads of issues with Origins, and always have, though. Whether vanilla or modded. Missing texture/mesh issues with DA2 as well (a directx11problem, I believe). None with Inquisition. There has to be more to it than 'console focus'.I've lovingly dubbed the title of this game Crashing Age: Glitchquisition.
