I'm sorry if there's already a topic with this feedback/complaint. I'll just leave this here. And to be honest, I'd love to play the Pre-Alpha build than the final version... I mean, wtf happend to all those stuff like red templars attacking your fortresses, making the new captured fortresses for military/spy purposes, poisoning the wells, that walk in the mud and all the little things that makes the game epic? I'm really sorry if I offended anyone with my feedback. Thank you, Bioware, but please keep your promises!

This is nothing unusual for Bio. Check out the early ME1 versions sometime, or the "distress call" trailer.

Oh man... I hope they won't screw up the new Mass Effect game. I don't mind if I have to wait another 2 years for the game as long as they give us a good game, what they promise at E3's and stuff like that. Don't get me wrong, I like Dragon Age: Inquisition, but I hate it at the same time. I hope I'm making sense, not like Sera :)

Yeah, I kept wondering when we'd see that scene with Varric finding corpses at a keep. Never happened.

Man I'm so glad that stupid compass thing on the top was changed.

Also, leaked footage from a cellphone should not be construed as any kind of promise.

- Well, technically Haven is still attacked by Red Templars / Venatori. Crestwood was still one of the better zones even without that village/keep choice anyway.

- I was never clear on "Specialize a keep"... I mean, they said we could do it, but why? What did it do? I was never hyped for this feature or clear on what it meant, so... Oh well?

- Poisoning the wells... Yeah, and throwing Antivan Fire to cut off reinforcements. They cut this away, unfortunately.

- Walk in the mud = trudge through the snow after haven. I guess they figured it wasn't worth including, and I don't disagree. Its more of an immersion thing, and DAI isn't the most immersive game. I'm not asking for first-person view though.

And finally: Pre-Alpha is not a "promise" of anything. Everything in an Alpha is subject to change and vulnerable to being cut from the final product. Misleading? Maybe. But its not outright lying; They want to make the best game possible, its not like they want to cut features.

That first place reminds me of the Hinterlands... only in a different time of the day.

I think people should be sued who say others should be sued

Many, MANY things were promoted, touted, and promised, however.. I wouldnt cut them ANY slack in this area...

Edit: and just like that atrocious "Watch Dogs", DA:I graphics are nowhere near what was being shown! It seems to be yet another industry standard being set.. Promote he game with graphics they are fully aware wont be the final product.. Misleading, is an understatement!

What's with people saying that PR always make promises? Then never make promises. They just tell us what we want to hear. People think they are promises while they are in fact, nothing but ideas thrown around. I never heard them saying anything like: "we promise that..." in their sentences before.

Never heard "there is 99% chance this is not going to be on the game" either.

Maybe they found the old consoles couldn't handle it?

Yes, the part where they say: "We promise."

It's entirely your own fault if you take leaked information that should never have reached the public for truth.

Laidlaw clearly said this stuff would be in the game in interviews, it isn't leaked if it comes from the mouth of the lead designer himself.

And I suppose we all forgot this:

How much of that was in the final game? 20%, at best?

It is like buying a movie ticket to go see a Sandra Bullock film only to find out she was never in it.  Clearly we were lied to.  I know I feel I bought the gmae under false pretenses.

@Psychevore  I would say other than the reference to "The machines coming back"  and changing lasers into ballistic weapons, most of the game trailer is actually correct.  The Dark Energy powers are clearly just renamed to Biotic.

Either way, the fact they did it before does not justify them doing it again, does it?
