If he wants proof, he should look at it himself. I told him where to find it.

"Somewhere on this forum" isn't all that useful for finding something, you know.

True, I don't like it when others make a bold claim and they then challenge me to look myself for it..

Agreed! I feel very much deceived by Bioware. The game we received is NOTHING like what they promised. OK, maybe not "nothing" but it falls short in many many ways.

It is unbelievable how they could go from a pre-alpha state that looked absolutely EPIC so something that is....OK in some aspects.

Massive failure in my estimation, Bioware!

Remind me about the politicians of my country.

Somethings rotten here...

Designs and ideas can easily get overshadowed by time and focus, so it's not unusual to see this in the gaming industry aswell. An idea could be created and then toned down, or completely removed in some instances, in the development phase because it lacked focus or had an ambition that was not achievable in the given time frame. In some cases the publisher can dictate the final design of a product. Now all of this is just speculation as I do not work for either EA games nor Bioware, but what I do know is that there's plenty of nuances in a development phase that can lead to anything from a subtle change to a complete reomoval. The usual culprits are time and focus, but can also be something technical and transcending.

Personally I love the raw nature of creation, and I would happily accept this gritty feel to the game in the final product, however if that was something that could've been achievable is a good question.

Thread number 997 with the exact same video, exact same opinion in OP, and exact same followup of Bioware hate. So predictable.

Well the Dev answered a question I asked about the Keeps we could capture. 2-3 days after the game hit the stores. That is why I remembered it. Several others were asking stuff in the same thread too. I believe it was in one of the treads about

You might want to look at how many times I have praised Bioware for the superb exploration factor in this game, then. And the excellent Companions in the game.

So what you are saying is everyone who "bash Bioware" in any way, has to be a liar. Nice fanboy logic you have there.

No. I am asking you to send me a link instead of telling me a story. If this information is everywhere to find, then surely someone as knowledgeable about the subject as yourself can easily lead me to this information.

But, since you won't, I'm just going to assume you're some random hater on the internet. Nothing new.

To give an impression of what they're working on.

(that was a serious question?)

Of course it was, and a very important one - now, since we've established pre-alpha footage is irrelevant to the final product, what is the purpose of the impression that this footage supposedly makes if it is irrelevant to the final product?

It is like buying a movie ticket to go see a Sandra Bullock film only to find out she was never in it.  Clearly we were lied to.  I know I feel I bought the gmae under false pretenses.

You don't have the same experience with films because with films you don't get the same kind of access that you do with games. Filmmakers aren't at conventions showing footage of their movie while they are still in the process of filming it. However if you ever bought a DVD, you'd know that lots of stuff ends up on the cutting room floor just as it does with games. Many DVDs include these cut scenes as extras on those DVDs.

For the game industry to be more like the film industry, you would get hardly information at all about a game until it was near release. And then you'd only get a couple trailers at most. The rest you'd have to find out by playing.

It's just a reality of the video game industry that so long as developers are showing footage of their game throughout much of the development process, that some of that content is going to be altered or cut completely from the final product. It is one of the drawbacks of fans having so much access to an unfinished product while it is still in development.

In my first post I apologised if there was another topic like this, I know I joined the forum a while back, but now it's my first time I post here, I didn't read the 19024721 topics that are in this thread. And maybe it's for the best if there are a lot of topics on the same matter, maybe Bioware can see our frustration and learn something. They're all about listening to us and stuff like that. And I don't hate Bioware, I really like them very much, but they're starting to disappoint me. I'm sorry if I annoyed anyone with my feedback or ****** anyone off :( that wasn't my intention. I repeat myself, I like them very much that's why I'm so "mad", because they showed us an EPIC game and then they gave us a different one.

Don't apologize, there have been far fewer threads than the enthusiastic young male indicates with such gusto. I too hope that Bioware listens to the fair criticisms DA:I has earned. I don't expect them to, but I hope.

Yes, keep enjoying your kool-aid popsicle..

I do realize I got an avatar of a man sucking on a popsicle, but that was uncalled for. For me, someone needs to say "I promise..." or "we promise" to forge a contract or a deal with me. It's not how it works for you and I apologize for this disagreement.

You really are that naive? This is has been going on for years and not just Bioware.

Have no sympathy for you. ITS COMMON freaking sense to not expect the game to be accurate from the alpha footage you saw.

This happens with all games. Stop trying to pin it only on BioWare.

The good old "We just ran out of time" argument will continue to fly with many people so why not continue hoping that the NEXT game will be the one where they actually get it right?

They might or they might not.

ME1 was an ambitious, unfocused game that did little well and arguably failed in many areas. The next game, ME2, was a far more focused product and was a much better game for it.

Agreed. However, I felt Origins was an ambitious, yet unpolished and sloppy game similar to ME1. Lot's of potential for growth and refinement. Then came DA2... now DAI. Things aren't on a positive trend here. How many chances should they get?

That's because this forum has a lot of members and new threads every day. Not everyone has the time to keep up with them or search for topics that may or may not already exist. Not to mention searching for something in this forum can be a pain. If a lot of people are pointing this out is because Bioware disappointed a lot of fans. This is a forum where you can post your opinions and give feedback so we're allowed to do that, yes? If you feel like this sort of topic is old news then simply ignore it.

Or maybe you people will stop coming into these threads and try to compare a few seconds of cutscenes or some armor or whatever to a detailed questline with multiple strategies and unique gameplay features. Your excuse "things get cut" is getting old. Because companies do that it doesn't make it ok, so people have a right to feel misled or disappointed. Like I already pointed out, they went to events to showcase that particular quest/gameplay to hundreds of cheering fans, they chose that specifically to present it to them. If I was one of the fans in the audience I wouldn't be thinking "ah too bad this is alpha footage, it means it probably won't be in the game so I better not get too excited. I might as well leave the room now" I mean???? That's just ridiculous. If they are showing that to me at a freaking event, if they chose that as a selling point, you bet I'm going to expect it to be in the final product, otherwise I'm going to be pissed because the game I was shown is nothing like the one I bought. And to that add the video about the game being made specifically for PCs. If that isn't lying their asses off then I don't know what is.

How old are you?  This is NOTHING new. All Companies do this.  There are DA2 Trailers with ALPHA FOOTAGE  that was NEVER in the game. How hard is that for you to grasp.   THEY ARE NOT SHOWING YOU THIS FINISHED PRODUCT. THINGS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

Oh and just so you know, there was far more rage on this forum for DA2 than there is for Inquisition.

Probably older than you. And can you actually read? Because you keep saying the same thing over and over again and ignore all of the points I made. You know what? If you're happy with the game, good for you. If you didn't fall for their lies, wonderful! I still think people have a right to feel disappointed and upset for reasons that I stated in my previous comment and I'm not going to mention again because you keep ignoring it and repeating the same "everyone does it" excuse.

If they didn't get it right with DAI which they had years of development then I'm not sure if they ever will. I'll stick around for DA4's development, but now considering that apparently we can't trust ANYTHING that comes out before the game is released, not even freaking interviews with the devs, then I'm having a hard time imagining how the hell will I know if the game is going to be better or not.
