So I see that nVidia have released driver 347.25. Has anyone tried it yet? Does it break or fix anything?

I updated right away, everything seems fine. So it didn't break anything.

According to the notes the problem with 'stuttering' that some people have has not been fixed. However since performance reports on these forums is all over the place, that's no guarantee that it doesn't fix things for some people. If I wasn't waiting for patch 3 to be patched anyway I'd probably give it a twirl.

White fog bug and flickering textures, anyone?

I have not tried it myself yet.

I'm curious about this as well...

But according to the release notes, they have not addressed the issues with DAI.

While it doesn't say that it has optimizations or bug fixes for this game, it does tell us that it has indeed "performance optimizations". If it's only for Dying Light or other upcoming titles or what I don't know, you may interpret that differently than me.

The new GeForce Game Ready Dying Light 347.25 WHQL drivers are now available to download automatically through GeForce Experience, and from GeForce.com. With performance optimizations, SLI profiles, expanded Multi-Frame Sampled Anti-Aliasing support, and support for the new GeForce GTX 960, our latest Game Ready drivers are a recommended update for all GeForce GTX users.

I don't think it addressed Inquisition at all. I'm still not seeing a profile for the game in GeForce Experience.

I have a sneaking suspicion that there's some bad blood between BioWare and Nvidia; Nvidia has all but abandoned optimizations for Inquisition and are apparently content to leave us with the post-launch driver which really didn't do much.

Your suspicion could be right on the money, given that DA:I is an AMD title. No wonder Nvidia don't give a damn about optimising their drivers for it.  -_-

Answering my own question about the SLI - White Fog bug - it's still there, have no convenient save to test out the flickering.

Do you mean the flickering in the shadows? because if you do it seems that the shadow flickering that I had previously is gone now (not 100% sure but it seems that way)

Dragon Age: Inquisition (as well as many other games) now supports Nvidia's MFAA technology. Also, according to Nvidia (Note: Dead Rising 3, Dragon Age 2, and Max Payne 3 are incompatible with MFAA.)

I mean the occasional flickering-shimmering-whatever you call it of the texture 'patches'. I've seen those mostly on the ground or grass and in Haven (the mountains). Not nearly as annoying as the white fog (in my case).

Oh never noticed that, sorry. I was having flickering in the shadow area in the cutscenes closeups mostly, but  now it is gone.

edit: mine is  GTX 750 Ti

If you gonna give feedback for the driver, please add your card.

Often it is the case that older cards don't get any advantages from newer drivers (but at least no problems either) as devs tend to optimize for never generation cards. So it's kinda important to know which graphic card is used.

I for instance use a GTX 760 and decided to stick with the 344.75 driver. Ran DAI without any issues for dozens and dozens of hours.

I have one in my GeForce Experience. It won't let me optimize it due to my monitor, but it does have a profile there.

ETA: I updated as soon as it was available, and had no issues in game.

Maybe it's that my graphics card is very old and there's no profile for it? I'm running it on a GTX 460 SE.

That could be. I'm running a GTX 750 Ti.

Some people on the Nvidia boards have claimed success by reducing the vegetation to high (redux in flicker), and turning off ambient occlusion(white fog).  The white fog fix worked for me, but not the flicker.  At this point, I don't think its on Nvidia.  Bioware has to address this, IMO.  But either way both sides are acting like two insurance companies fighting over who is going to pay the claim.

I installed the new driver and have had no problems so far, actually even seems like I'm getting a few extra FPS.  I have a 970, so maybe the drivers works best with the 900 series cards.

So far this seems to be true. I haven't notice any increase or improvements in performance. Still the same as with the previous driver.

Just went to NVidia website and downloaded them.

Clean installed and all video setting in NVidia Control Panel for best image quality.

But now I can't run the game due to origin server being down? Only offline mode?

I hope this is fixed soon so I can see how DAI runs with these latest drivers.

I also clean installed these drivers (using Display Driver Uninstaller to get rid of the old ones) and only installed the core drivers - not any of the 3D stuff, audio stuff or Geforce Experience.. I'm running 2x GTX 680s. And lo and behold... the new drivers seem to be running smoothly for me! Played for probably 3 hours without a hiccup (normally I get occasional stuttering and regular hard crashes). But I noticed the framerate seemed lower than before so I quit and sure enough... I had forgotten to turn on SLI.  ^_^  So I turned it on and played for another half hour - without a hitch. Now, a half-hour isn't long enough to be telling, but it was a good sign. And that said, I was running in Origin's offline mode with no other programs running and had turned off both Steam and Dropbox.

I'll try some extended playtime tomorrow with SLI on and see how it goes...
