Please take the Banter issue on PC Seriously

BUT it truly sadens me when i hear banter on you tube that i havent heard in 500 hrs of play through .
I am playing on a high end Pc running the game on ultra. Yet no banter..
Youve stated that it was working as intended and explained the firing process. Ive stood around not moving for 25 min just to here banter. Yet while walking around after finishing a zone for 1 hour...nothing...
After patch 3 i did a complete reinstall and started a fresh character. Got to hinterlands and started my stopwatch.
2hours 46 min i did the mage templar strongholds and got to dennets farm before i heard 1 banter between solas and casandra.
My love for this game is great. It is the few generes that provide a deep story. But cant you realize how that story can be damaged by the banter dialogue not firing for everyone. What ive heard on you tube is taking away so much immersion.
Please look seriously at this issue. I would love to here it fire every 5 min gauranteed then not at all .
500 hours many playthroughs. Trust it Is a PC issue.
I can only offer as a solution maybee stop tbe banter timer from resting if talking or fighting. So you will here some dialog every 10 min gauranteed.
THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO READ THIS and i would truly appriciate a bioware resonce to my thoughts.

I'd love for it to be every 5 min on the dot guaranteed,
I'd rather get annoyed with them talking, then go hours on end in dead silence (they kinda don't feel alive being silent)
Mine stopped talking after a few zones, and only say something after certain plot points,
whereas before, they were really chatty in the hinderlands (every 15 mins there and I loved it), but then it just stopped
I think they exhausted the dialogue, but I wouldn't care if they repeated conversations, I'd still like it,
just to hear them talk again would be great, even if it's repeats

that is just straight up backwards thinking.
The banter complaints are almost as bad as the Skyhold outfit complaints. I really can't tell which is more frivolous.

I Just want to add after another 5 hours of play after work , finishing up all hinterlands quest , a total of 6 hours there and only 2 conversations from my party. casandra to solas twice and Cassandra to sera once.
Please Bioware, you must see the frustration this brings for PC users. If there wasn't documented hours of Banter on you tube, there would be no regrets, nothing to miss.
but there is and the loss is really hurting the overall game experience, surely you can see this.
I would say forced uninterruptable banter every 5 min is surely better than hour upon hour of silence.
Others on console might not notice this issue but surely you can see the PC community is having this issue even after patch 3.
I beg you Please for a quick fix to turn up the banter substantialy and make it uninterruptable. I understand your original intent but surely you can see the issue and reasons for the calls for it now.
we love the companions you created and want to truly learn all we can .
If you still cannot see or don't think the problem exists, then I ask , please tell me how I can fix this or what I am doing wrong. surely with 500 hrs clocked on many playthroughs its either something on my end, ( which I cant imajine what) I/E not opening codeks, clearing completed quests fast traveling, not traveling via war table.
if it is none of those then something is not working as intended on PC. Please a few word response to this issue would at least let me know what the heck is wrong , I have reinstalled the game twice after patch 3 and I swear I am getting less banter than before.
Please Bioware help fix this immersive important issue!!!!!

Same here... PC & ultra high. If there's any banter after Patch 3, I have yet to hear it...

...what is wrong with you? Why do you even play these games if you think wanting more banter is "frivolous"? Surely its not for the top notch gameplay, or the out of this world graphics? No, we play these games for the characters, the stories, the thrills of journeying the world with characters you care about. Its an RPG for gods sake! I didn't buy this game to escort plastic dolls across barren wastelands. I hate the "just go play COD" response, but it really seems to apply to you.

My fellows have simply stop talking since patch 3. Nothing in 4 hours of gameplay
Same as above, it sometimes feels like they are all dead

I don't understand why they went with this over the "banter zones" from the last two games.
It's not like they intend for the banter to be something you have to dig into the game to find. You're supposed to be reasonably confident that you can hear all the available banter over the course of a playthrough, assuming you use the characters.
Eh. I had originally started a new game in Origins, in the hopes that once I made my way to the end, the banter issue would be fixed, and I'd be ready for playthrough 3. Thought I'd be able to jump right into it once the most recent patch hit, but it looks like that isn't the case.

Surely you people realize there is only a finite amount of recorded dialogue, correct?
Surely you realize that there are some people who are getting ten to fifteen instances of banter - maybe - over the course of the entire game, correct? There's something wrong with it.
These issues aren't really frivolous. The Skyhold pjs are ugly, and the fact that you're wearing them in so many important cutscenes is annoying to a lot of people, particularly those who might document their games with FRAPS or screenshots. In Mass Effect 2 and 3, you could at least choose from a bunch of different casual outfits. Even Hawke's smoking jacket looked better.

I don't know why Patch 3 hasn't helped, maybe it didn't work properly? Also I'm quite sure this is problem is in all platforms, at least I have seen console players also complaining about it.

Just be glad you haven't heard the same exact banter between two characters for the last 50+ hours in game. I was hearing banter for a while before it got stuck on that one. I have switched out party members only to have no banter at all for 10 hours and went back to original setup only to find that they were back to repeating themselves on the same damn lines again.
As for the patches they have released, I particularly like the they list stuff as fixed yet it isn't fixed and apparently they tested each patch thoroughly before release and never saw any issues, well except for the shader issue with patch 2, the fact that the key drop issue still occurs despite the patches, the stability in the game is perfectly fine since when the game CTD anywhere between 5 minutes to 5 hours after you start it is just their way of making sure we take a break from time to time, that the reaver was fixed by removing the ability to heal at all with Rampage up (this one strikes me as another shockwave issue from ME3MP which they tried to patch 3-4 times to fix it and then gave up which showed they didn't know how to fix their own game) and that we get great images of dogs that a dev replies with to a question we posted.
So that having been said I am perfect OK with the way the devs are treating us on the forums and have learned that the issue isn't with the game its with me since I apparently don't know what I am talking about. Less QQ and more Pew Pew I say, granted I wont be able to do that until Evolve unlocks.

The fact is. Bioware said they fixed the issue. Obviously they didnt on PC. I have played for 16 hrs since patch 3 and no increase on banter so my qustion is why. Did they lie. Or am i or we as pc players doing somthing wrong.
I want bioware to please respond
I think they fixed it for some people and broke it for others. Like for me.

Since the game has launched i loved it untill i realized there was a lot of banter that was on you tube that i did not hear in over 500 of playtime with many classes.
Please Bioware make banter fire definitively every 5 mins. Constant banter is surely better than hours of silence. Note...I am speaking only for PC..

you're complaining about something a video game character is wearing. That is definitely frivolous unless you're playing The Sims.

I have not had a problem with banter activating. The only problem I had with banter is that Cassandra calls out Blackwall waaaaaay before his personal quest was even approached. This happened soon after I recruited Blackwall and when we went to the Storm Coast to look for the Grey Wardens.
I always suspected Blackwall, so Cassandra didn't really spoil anything for me, but still, it would have been spoilery.
Other than that, Banter works just fine for me.
I think I only have Patch 1. I don't think I downloaded Patch 2, and I know I don't have Patch 3.

Loot and customization is pretty important in a RPG. And there's precedent for letting us control the way our characters look at all times in the past games.

Sometime while engaging in a fight i will have no combat sounds for few seconds. Could this be the cause?..
Could this block audio sounds? ( Banter )
Maybee bioware could clarify.. Surely they are listening.. surely a quick fix patch that forces banter to fire every 5 min to ensure players regardless of companions wont miss out on any dialog...
If they dont adress this soon i might just have to find the banter on you tube and play it while im playing the game. Sad that i have to do this but i love this game....
Please Bioware..hear our frustration.......

I don't think that's the case because I'm using subtitles, so even if the sound is not there, I would be able to see the text. The same goes for search. The sound might not trigger, but the dots on the corner map show up.

So i guess I'm reinstalling DAI for nothing then. lol! I've only scratched the surface of the banter. if it weren't for youtube I wouldn't have heard anything. It even reached a point where I would just play the banter of the companions in my party from youtube but it isn't the same. Now I just play music. I thought uninstalling and reinstalling would help. Now I got the game on download and I'm sure it's all for nothing.

I don't think that's gonna help. And it's certainly not a PC specific problem.
The only thing that I think I've had some success with is putting Origin in offline mode (or conversely, playing in offline mode if you're on a console).
