Without a portrait like we have for DAO and DA2, we have a problem... like i made a dwarf named Edric, i didn't love his look, so I made a new dwarf named edric. Both dwarves, both warriors. Actually I made 3 before I settled on his look, one was rogue though.
No idea which is which, doesn't matter now really, but it will. With DAO and DA2 we have a portrait with their current armor, it gives us a lot to go on... With DAI in the keep they have no distinguishing features except their name (and if you remake a character because something doesn't look right, you then have 2 and their cards look EXACTLY the same).
A simple "time played" box would do wonders, you'd know whose been in the tutorial and who played the entire game. Better would be the actual character design from the inventory menu in-game.
DAI heroes... two versions of one character (if we changed our look) with the same name can't be told apart

It does say on the hero which worldstate they show up in. Current Playthrough is the one you are using now and then from 1 onwards its in the order of last played.

Inquisition features in the Keep aren't finished yet, so I imagine there will be a portrait eventually.

There isn't one in the game though.

kind of hope you can import your entire look so he can appear in the next game, which, let's face it, we all hope to play as the hero of ferelden... the inquistor is cool, but he's not the hero.

Yeah actually now that you mention it I made several versions of my dwarf to get his look right at the start, and I only have one now... the weird thing is one of the old versions is still a save file.
We need separate entries with a level or something (I only have one level 24 dwarf)

Semi related bug. I created an Elf Warrior named "Thoranar", but didn't like my initial playthrough, and then created a Qunari Warrior with the same name.
A bunch of weirdness occurred:
1) My WS did not import in the second version with the Qunari (found out 20 hours in... ugh)
2) In the Keep, the Qunari playthrough shows a human Rogue named "Maxwell"
Until they allow deleting characters from the Keep, I strongly suggest avoiding creating more than one character with the same name...

I'd really like to be able to delete playthroughs. Especially the ones where I started and didn't even close the first rift before deciding I hated the way the character looked and tried again.
