I hope someone is listening... even if some of us are rude, we're here because we love dragon age.

I'm guilty of being one of those people who will "violently" defend this franchise as well... So sorry if I hurt people once in a while. Though the lack of presence of the BioWare team makes these boards lonely these days...

I tend to get sarcastic and snarky. Memes and animated gifs become my choice of rebuttal. But those are reserved for the truly ridiculous. If people are being reasonable, even if I vehemently disagree, I try to engage civilly. Key word: try . The snark may still leak. :P

Now then... all that said, let's see some seriously story heavy dlc complete with tragedy, cinematic scenes, and companion interaction.

The most hilarious thing is people like you who spend 99% of their time on this forum making posts mocking and insulting the game then come on to threads like this and say you love it. When you love something you don't laugh at it, insult it, call the people who make it names etc.

The other thing that makes me laugh is people saying the game isn't finished. If any game where a minority of the player base is having significant issues can be called unfinished then here hasn't been a triple a title that was finished in a long time.

Plenty of people played through the game for 100-200 hours, had no bugs, loved the game and moved on. You guys say those people shouldn't pretend they stand for everyone yet you all act as if you do.

And then moved on, this is Dragon Age, there should be no moving on.  DA:O was a game you played, took a break and played again. Dragon Age 2 (for the few of us who liked it) was the same as Origins.

Welcome to videogames.

That doesn't make it okay or acceptable.  People used to say "Welcome to the opium den" or "welcome to the slave market".  Where are those now?  Just because it is common place doesn't mean you should sit on your butt and accept it.

Of course you have the right to be upset over that. You can be upset and still communicate that in a polite way. Being polite doesn't mean giving in or changing your opinion or being docile. It doesn't even mean you can't show anger. It simply means don't be a jerk. One can express their anger about a thing without slinging insults and throwing tantrums.

I didn't show anger or hurl insults.  I think it terribly naive to expect a company with millions of customers that puts out a defective product that does not perform to 'promised' specification, not to have some people get a little personal.  Are people who are bit too much of a jerk not being decent?  Perhaps.  Years ago a kid poked me in the ribs with a corner flag pole.  I knocked him to the ground.  Overreaction?  Maybe.  But that kid didn't sneak up on me and hit me again.

This is gossip and conspiracy. I've never seen proof of this.

Also very, very, naive.  There's a possibility I am wrong on this one, but I doubt it.  Especially on a subjective basis when my own own experience and interpretation has differed from the professional reviews for almost every game I have bought in the last few years.  While review bombing is a risk, I occasionally read user review sites.  I never pay significant attention to professional reviews anymore.  Also, look at Amazon before Metacritic.  More likely to get a 'real' review from someone who's actually bought the game.

I just thought it deserved to be said, I loved origins, I loved 2... and as far as main story content goes I love DAI. I loved tactics menus, attribute points (I miss both), I loved the dragon fights in DAI, I hated the fetch quests with no payoff and god of secrets for leading up to what could ahve been awesome and giving me a dispair demon with more HP. I miss seeing enemies introduced in cut scenes, and conversations that were fully cinematic and not just  a slight zoom on regular character models. I miss feeling personally involved, and sometimes i get to, but outside of the main quests, even in most companion quests, we never quite get to.

I hope bioware is watching, I hope they're listening even if they don't respond. I hope the dlc for inquisition will have cities and heavy story, with tragedy and the sort of content we love from bioware. I hope we'll see anora and shale, and many of the others from past games. I hope we'll get to see our warden again (and hopefully play as him/her, even if it's in the next game).

I hope morrigan will one day acknowledge the fact my warden stabbed her, as opposed to thinking they're in love.

I hope Bioware knows we just want what we love, and we don't want skyrim, and we don't want world of warcraft... we want dragon age. And we're here because we love it.

Deserves to be said.

To be fair.. Anger is an emotion.. Happiness is an emotion.. Most people, dont tend to lend anger, happiness, ssadness, etc. to anything theyre not emotionally invested in.. At most, a minor little fit, and move on..  You wouldnt yell at someone else' kids for eating off the floor, or pushing down some other kid.. No..

We only yell because we are emotionally invested in the series.. We only post feedback, because we dontl ike where our favorite series' are going! Dont stoop to such childish behavior as name calling.. You, Bioware, have a professional obligation to satisfy your customers.. The person you called a "villian" for all we know, is an 11yr old child.. The internet is funny that way.. And you could be basing some of us 30, 40, 50+ yr old behaviors on such...

Remain your integrity..

PS: im not demanding players show respect, or post resp[ectfully.. I have no right to demand someone else communicate in any manner... Nor does any other person here, nor a Bioware employese

Actually, I think a lot of people have a right to be rude to the devs.

As a dev myself, I can tell you, you don't. If someone actively screws you over then sure, but if we're talking about a bunch of guys who may have made some bad design decisions, but are bound by corporate BS to avoid saying anything that can be construed as XYZ, and still work their asses off to get their game fixed, really, you don't have a right to be rude.

I personally get *massively* frustrated with the oddball design decisions and stuff that blatantly was never going to work but they insisted on implementing anyway, and I'm vocal about it in order to highlight it, but just being rude is pointless.

Sorry, mate, but I don't see the highlighted part yet.

EA is even ruder when they force a deadline on them, don't hire enough programmers to solve problems and force BioWare's team to cut on many elements from the game... Just saying. [sarcasm heavily implied]

No problem with that. A bunch of EA Yes-men are in charge of DA, anyway. They seem incapable of producing rpgs anywhere near the same quality Bioware produced before EA took over.

Though, if there wasn't a deadline for anything, nothing would ever be released... on one hand, I understand their move, on the other hand I wonder what the game would've been if it was released a year later.

If you went to a 5 star restaurant, ordered a medium rare steak, hand-cut chips and some fancy, tasty salad to go with it, paid a fair amount of money for this product, then instead received... an overcooked, charcoal steak, cold soggy chips and a salad made up of rotten ingredients... would you be rude?

Most people in that situation would be rude to the managers, the chefs, etc. Should that customer have done their research, and if they did said research, and found nothing but glowing reviews about how great the food is at this particular restaurant (*cough* GOTY *cough*), don't you think the customer has a right to b*tch, complain and be rude?

Actually no I would not sir. Also no sir I do not. I think people have the right to expect quality games or food, but I think they should also have some class, dignity, and respect. I have got messed up orders, undercooked food, and dirty utensils before. Guess what it did not take me being rude, b*tching, or complaining to get it fixed. I treated them with respect, and courtesy and not only do I get the situation handled most times I either get a free meal for me and my companions, or the next time I eat there the meal is on them. You can justify to your view point, but I can assure you that you can be civil, and pleasant and still get your issues taken care of.

Also since when because someone was rude or lie to me make it okay to be a Donkey hole back to them? I am human and I do it too sometimes, but it doesn't make it right when I do it, and it is not right when you do it. Where y'all not taught to treat others the way you want to be treated, or do you just not care about how you treat people? Even if they are wrong you should treat people decently shouldn't you? Because if the roles were reversed and you messed up I doubt you would be happy if people were rude, classless, obnoxious jerks to you. I know I wouldn't be.
