Skyrim which came out YEARS ago and only has like 2 or 3 bard songs had the common sense to allow you to request a song.  yet this game has like 20 bard songs, and you either wait 24/7 to hopefully hear them randomly come on and not repeat the same ones over and over or keep running inside and outside?  You'd think you can give the bard like 2 coppers and pick a song from the big list or something.

Do a lot of drinking xD

Actually if you could do more in taverns, that would be awesome.  As it is, I can't really criticise this too much.  If you care about collecting the songs as songs, and not as some X out of Y achievement number, go listen now and then.  The game's designed for long playthroughs, so taking some time to hear them all instead of banging them out all at once is an understandable design decision.

Actually it may be a good idea to just sit in the tavern right at the beginning as a number of the songs are event focused, so sitting at the beginning should get a number of the base ones down then visit the tavern after a major event to see if a new one has unlocked.  Some songs are also unlocked by reading pages scattered around.

Not ideal but it does help.

Too bad there isn't an option to talk with the bard and request for a song (seeing as you are the Inquisitor). I mean is it too much to ask for a chair to sit and just listen?

This sounds like a vote for my "drinking" solution!
