PC version isn't THAT bad. Yes, its obvious a console port and not a game designed for PC, but there is nothing game-breaking awful. Game works fine on my Alienware rig and the worst aspects of the port are over-come with time.

Lol that PC community thread is the same 5-6 people posting over and over again. Kotaku needs to exercise a little journalism and read through the thread before making humorous statements such as that.
Actually people come in and out of those threads; there's a consistent crew, sure, but.

They don't mention how bad multiplayer is and how much worse it is getting. Poor journalism.

I've been getting crashes caused by the getdeviceremovedreason error since the game launched, and none of the fixes I've tried on my end have stopped it. I haven't been able to try multiplayer yet because it always crashes when I try and launch it. It'd be really nice if BioWare could get around to fixing this issue soon.

I have had issues; glaring issues.
The keyboard and mouse control issues are real. Try zooming the tac cam out and closing a rift with it; I dare you. The demon boss en route to Haven comes to mind. But once I learned to never use the tac cam ever again, it wasn't terrible. Granted, as a melee character it would have been painful (melee have it ROUGH on a keyboard/mouse setup), but as a mage, it wasn't too bad.
My real gripe are the bugs, the crashes, the inconsistent stuttering and performance on high-end computers (I have a 2560x1600 monitor, I7-4970k cpu, 32gb of ram, a single 980GTX factory-overclocked G1 Gaming card, an audiophile sound card, and a Corsair 1200w platinum power supply). Regardless of graphic settings, I ran 0-5 fps for over a month after patch2. A few days before patch3, it started working mostly. Note: I did NOTHING to my computer, nor did I update anything. (In fact, I rolled everything back pre-patch2, it still gave me problems, so I stopped playing for a couple weeks. Tried again, awful. Broke down and tried again the week after, worked fine.) That's DA:I optimisation for you! I dreaded installing patch3 after I finally got it working for three days, but so far so good. (Granted, it's only been working for seven days out of the last 40, but hey.)

I haven't played the game in awhile but I used to get frequent crashes until I re-installed the game and prevented patch 2 from downloading. I also did a clean install of my video drivers and spent a good hour optimizing graphical settings and fiddling around in the dev console. It is mostly good now performance-wise but the controls are still junk so I play with a controller.
All in all I didn't have any major problems but it is still annoying to see people saying just because they did not have any issues that everything is fine.

I won't say everything is fine, but at the same the argument can be turned around to "its annoying to see people saying the game is broken beyond all hope because they are having issues". I will never say a game is issue free, but with what I have gotten from every other game aside from Shadows of Mordor, Dragon Age Inquisition has had the least amount of bugs I have encountered of recent memory. I was personally expecting a lot more issues since they are using a new engine and normally that can complicate matters for the worse. It took my brother eight months before the issues he had with Skryim were fixed and multiple of the patches corrupted his save games, so hopefully BioWare can fix the issues they are having quickly, but at the same time I rather have a patch be a little slower to prevent destroying my 100 hour saves.

I haven't had any major load up issues with my PC version of Inquisition. It works fine and I choose to run it windowed mode in lower graphical settings so I don't have to alt-tab to change my iTunes song.
If it does crash I look at my graphics settings in game and try to tweak it so that it will not crash the next time I get to that point. Most of the time it is particle effects that do it in coupled with the fact that games don't like running super high settings in window mode.
I think Kotaku is a pile of shite however and I did not want to read the article.

Lol. If only there would be a next blight.
No but seriously, i've had no issues with crashing, Tac cam is useless and when you are close to a rift just use the 'Use button' it will target it when you are in range anyways. I don't even bother 'aiming' at the rifts anymore i just walk close and 'F' and voila done, same goes for interrupt.

Yes, and a couple of them seem to have dedicated their lives to posting in that thread. I won't name any names, but one of them must have made hundreds of posts singlehandedly. It's sort of a bizarro thread from my point of view as I have next to no issues myself, although of course I feel bad for those that do.

People, who post, that they have no issues with the tac-cam, should play Origins again with tactical mode and than return to Inquisition. They are worlds apart from each other in terms of user comfort.

I did try Tac Cam on Origins a few days ago on PC, just so I can do a comparison since I didn't play Origins on the PC when it was first released.
I see very little difference except the zoom, which I discussed before as being a preference choice. One thing I do notice is the Origin's camera is closer to an isometric view because of the zoom when compared to Inquisition.
That really doesn't mean much in terms of comfort. It is again preference it seems like.
