Servers down, answers.ea.com [the Tech Support link target] not responding (hence this post here)

Origin can't sync to cloud.  DA:I will not log in.  answers.ea.com and signin.ea.com are both down or not responding to http: requests.

Anyone else seeing this?

FINAL UPDATE: 1/23 1:00AM EST - Status page shows green across the board, all systems should now be up and accessible.

Due to the probable load of a bunch of people logging in at once, there may be delays or you might need multiple tries.  It's only 10 PM Pacific time so there may be lots of people up and logging in.

EXCITING UPDATE: 1/23 12:45 AM EST

Bioware server team responded to confirm (thanks Joe!) and provide status link as well as the EA support twitter account (  @askeasupport ).  On the Status page, the auth servers still show a red down arrow, but the text says Online.  This probably means they are currently booting up (my opinion, not Joe's).

UPDATE AND PSA 1/22 11:00PM EST:

This URL provided by BevH -> https://www.origin.com/en-us/status shows, as you might guess, current Origin service status.  Still down at this time, but some folks have reported the Tech Support site is coming back up now.

UPDATE 1/22 10:20PM EST:  BevH posted down the thread an update from another DA twitter account that yes, login servers are down.  A status link was also given that I think I will bookmark, lol.

UPDATE 1/22 10:10PM EST: checked their twitter account, multiple reports across all platforms.  They're aware and investigating.  For those without twitter, I'll try to put updates here.

Could be emergency maintenance.

Or someone doing another DDOS attack.

Yeah, my housemate just left and now was my chance to finally start DAI on his PS4... and then this happens. Typical.

Yeah, couldn't log into DA servers on DAI on PS4 as of 9:30om EST tonight.

Have a friend who tried to get on Titanfall on Origin and servers were down for him as well.

So, that's PC and PS4 affected, both with EA games. EA servers sound like the culptrit.

Origin went into offline mode and now I can't get into Origin at all. When I tried to go to the Technical Support it wouldn't come up either.

Sounds like a DDoS since it's affecting so many different things at once, and also across the world. I'm in England and at least two of the people in this thread are in the US.

Edit

Origin is also completely broken for me, too. I was playing DA2 on it not long ago, then I decided to start playing DAI, went onto the Keep to check my world state - it worked fine at this point - then went into the other room and started up DAI by which point it couldn't log in. Well at least I have Origins on Steam, that should still work.

You may experience issues when logging into the Keep. We'll let you know as soon as it's working normally again. Thanks for your patience!

@DragonAgeKeep would this have anything to do with the fact I can't log into Origin?

@BevH0531 Yes: https://www.origin.com/en-ca/status

Glad to see it isn't just me... An official update from Bioware/EA on the forums would be nice, but I suppose that's too much to ask. They assume everyone has Twitter/Facebook and check them religiously, just like Turbine does for its games... Lack of communication was one of the main reasons I ultimately lost interest in DDO. :(

Definitely the origin server, it looks locked up -don't see any other internet issues

That was verified by the Dragon Age Keep. See my post above.  ^_^

Have access to the EA help site now, so it seems to be slowly getting back up.

answers.ea.com and signin.ea.com both seem to still be down.

help.ea.com says that while the PC Servers are down, the consoles are up and functional. I don't know if this info is out of date or newly updated.

EDIT: I got answers.ea.com to load. Tried to reload, but no success yet.

I've edited updates in my original post; there's also a post above (and in my first post) that has a link to the Origin status page, which I'll repeat here coz why not:  https://www.origin.com/en-us/status

I was just briefly able to log into Origin on the website. Tried again moments after and it didn't work. The Origin client did eventually stop spinning its wheels and let me do an offline login. It's a shame you can't do offline saves of world states from the Keep, but I guess it would remove the anti-piracy element that it has in its current form.

I got access to Answers HQ, though admit-tingly it is slow.

There once was a forum post made,

To 'splain why the people can't play.

   The server's still dead,

   I'm going to bed,

Good luck and I'll see you next day.

accounts.ea.com also does not respond.

And this is what's wrong with online DRM. If I have a game installed, I should be able to play it forever, and without interference.

My first thought was something was wrong on my end, since I have an unusual network setup. But no. All of the pains I have so humbly taken to verify my notions have only wasted my time.

Agreed. Since I bought the game, I should be able to play it without needing to log into their servers.

Maybe some disgruntled user hacked EA servers for DAI???
