But I hope in ME 4 we can choose to play with other races like Asari, Quarin etc... 

Especially with the new story coming and new everything.

I don't give a varren's ovaries about multiple race options, but even playing an alien, you'd probably be able to kill them in droves anyway.

As long as the story allows and they can give you a different "feel" when playing as other races then I'd be all for it.  DA:O did a decent job of this IIRC.  Certainly that was a step in the right direction.

 

NPC reaction modifiers, different party banter, different discussion options based on race, etc. would be all that I need.  Most of the overarching story would likely need to be the same to make the development & other factors "do-able".

I have mixed opinions on multiple races.

 

On the one hand having more options during character creation would be cool, particularly if the choice of species wasn't simply cosmetic, and resulted in a slightly different experience than playing the game as a human.

 

On the other hand I wouldn't want to see it implemented if it means less cinematic conversations with NPCs (see DA:I) because of the extra work involved in the camera angles needing to be different and such for player characters of different heights and builds.

I would be disappointed if we are forced to play as a human again. In such a vast universe with a lot of interesting races, I'm tired of playing as a human protagonist and hearing humans are the special snowflake race.
