It only started about 3 days ago, at first I thought I was either imagining things, or someone using their mic. But over the past day, it's happened frequently enough, in enough pubs I had to Google for it.

 

Is this something I can find a "turn off" for, or is this an elaborate troll that we're doomed to live with?

 

 

Edit: Forgot to mention, it's like a burst transmission, that says "Matt Barry" or something along that general phonetic sound

LOL  I think he's saying "nav buoy".  This was brought up a while back and a air force person said that's what they were saying as they use that term also.

I don't know about an air force person, but that is what it sounds like to me.
