Sure there might be 1-2 examples of mature\dark bits in the game. But its not even close to DA:O or even DA2, when it comes to stuff like that.
DA:I made the series generic. Simple as that. Its like some pop music thingy. All about looks and being popular for a few weeks, and after that its just forgettable.
So I guess that's a no then?
If we are really going to make that argument, how mature is the nudity and the inferred acts in Origins? Or the geysers of blood that cake on your body while you casually talk to people about their feelings?
This is why I disagree with that notion. I will say Dragon Age II is still more mature in context than Origins and Inquisition, although Inquisition deals with some more complex themes, mostly political and religious. But to say it's not close to "dark" or "mature" themes is kind of missing the point, honestly. Makes me wonder, again, what people actually consider "mature".
I rail on the Witcher for being a caricature of maturity, but it does have moments of good moral complexity to that. That is where maturity comes from, or should in my opinion, and Dragon Age always has that aspect to it, id say.
Did the presentation make Inquisition generic...not to me at least. That is again a subjective preference.
