Which is a shame, really, because I have no desire to oppress straight men (in fact, almost all of my friends are straight guys) and I have no problem with desire demons (minus the fact that I would like the option to have a sexy dude desire demon). I get really disheartened and sad to see that we keep getting blamed for stuff, to be honest.
But, yes, our agenda is everywhere. We are sneaky like that! Stop blowing our cover or I'll report you at our next monthly meeting!
Oh well you can kiss the glitteriest part of my feathered mustache. You can't do that! I'm on the conversion operative committee. We have plans and projects to ram as much content toward sexually vulnerable men as possible, because we all know that just the mere hint of seeing something gay will irrevocably alter their psyche to crave showtunes and mimosas.Which is a shame, really, because I have no desire to oppress straight men (in fact, almost all of my friends are straight guys) and I have no problem with desire demons (minus the fact that I would like the option to have a sexy dude desire demon). Mimosas are delicious.
Stop shoving your gameplay lifestyle down my throat. If you want a better tactics system, go make a game yourself.
But they clearly caved into pressure from insurance adjusters to remove healing from the game!!!! #censorship
Mimosas are delicious.
You can bypass by asking about someone else instead of delving into who "he (Krem, Dorian)" is about. Unless you like enjoying listening to something you dont want to hear?
ITS AVOIDABLE.
Recheck your OPTIONS again if you dont believe me.
For those that dont know its avoidable.

It isn't truly, unless you avoid all conversations with Dorian or Iron Bull or the Chargers.. Or Varric's quest where Cullen has to run away from the table naked.. You could choose to ignore saving Emprise Du Leon's fort too, you could choose not to kill the desire demon or even interact with it, but yknow hah, you'd practically let the red templars just have their fun with the populace. Mind you, it's not directly LGBT stuff.. But you have to admit there are a lot of crazy women that can make this kind of argument for any game that is straight male oriented (which are a lot of games).
I've read articles and blogs where a panel of women said scenes that could have been interesting in this game were creepy and it had to be removed as a result. The anxiety I feel is that, this should not be, but it happened. Just as DA:I happened, just as Cullen happened, or no female desire demons happened, Iron Bull and krem happened and Dorian happened.. It's new (Not in the sense that it's new to the dragon age universe, but new.. in the sheer amount), and while straight men like myself probably shouldn't feel so 'angered' by the universe, it did feel like we got the short end, for me on this game.
But you didn't get the short end. You got a shortened end because the stick is more equal. There is a difference. He admitted to it, HE ADMITTED TO IT

Equal in what sense? How many naked women are there that run through the street? naughty pixels or suggestive scenes for that matter? There is no ****** house mind you. We have two options, two, and Josie we don't get to see any breast or ass where with Cass, its breast only. Tell me how this is equal to the situations above?
Mind you, Iron Bull, Dorian have full scenes, I haven't seen anything with them, but I heard this, Cullen I haven't heard either.
From the short amount I can gather, a lot more lewd, side quests and companion quests, main quests combined, or suggestive for that matter for lgbt.
True equality would have equality for all.

When your speaking to Krem, instead of speaking about who "he" is, you can ask about the next person instead actually. You didnt see that did you? Bottom left of the circle. Choose to speak about next one instead. Its there.
Dorian, yeah, I was able to avoid it if I wanted but I chose a couple that delved into it. There was an option there to avoid talking much too. Of course these directions are pretty much unfriendly in effect. Krem you can skip over, this I know. I did once already.
Nudity...... arguing about nudity.... google nudity instead. ![]()

Well, as you specified on your post... it is just this game.
Also, this post is just so weird. I just don't know.

Yeah, that's the thing that straight dudes should remember is that it's just in this game that it's happened, where the amount we can notice there's a 'change' in focus. Looking at blogs, can you really deny this game was influenced or coerced a bit by #theagenda?
Well if you are talking about nudity, the only characters that get naked are Cass, Cullen, Dorian, Sera, and femquisitor. So the nudity actually IS pretty evenly distributed.
IB isn't?

Are you talking about the "rapey" scene that was removed that David Gaider talked about? If so, that wasn't removed because it was "creepy" and creepy things aren't allowed in the game. It was removed because it was creepy in a way that the author hadn't intended and hadn't meant to include, and the writer felt it took away from what was supposed to be important in the scene.

The Iron Bull and malequisitor do too. If chests count as nudity for women, they count as nudity for men too.
The only characters involved in romances that don't are Josephine, Rainier, and Solas.

Can you really say that what they're doing isn't what they want to do, and it just happens to match up somewhat with this nebulous "agenda?" Gaider's interview, linked earlier, is pretty sincere and thoughtful. And honestly, the people who rail on about how this stuff doesn't have any place in gaming... just don't get it. They don't get context, they don't get art, and they don't get social criticism. Or literary criticism, for that matter.
Like I said, Bioware's writers didn't consult focus groups or the blagosphere to put inclusive content in in the first place. They did it because they wanted to. They're also free to ignore what the players want (and they do - frequently).

That's taken out of context. It wasn't really Leliana to begin with. They likened it to that because it wasn't her and it was an illusion. Of course it's creepy. The envy demon wanted to see what kind of person your character was. A victory you experienced that never was, an offer from a fake Leliana, all a lie.
If we're arguing from creepy, there are plenty of 'creepy' scenarios in the game. Why is it with Americans blood is okay, gore, burning people to death or mutilation in general but, sex with an illusion is considered not okay?

The broad answer to the broad question is that context exists. The narrow answer to the narrower question is... context exists.
In either case, this would necessitate a digression down the rabbit hole of rape culture, which I don't think the thread (or Skyking, bless his heart) would survive.

Uh, I have no idea why blood is OK, but sex isn't, and I have even less idea of how that relates to what I wrote.
You said it was bad that the scene was removed because people found it creepy. I've explained that wasn't the reason why. It was removed because it brought up concepts that the writer didn't want to be brought up in that scene, which took away from the actual meaning of that scene.
If they didn't allow creepiness, that entire scene would be removed, along with other scenes. If they didn't want rapeyness, there wouldn't be rape featured at other points. They removed it because in this particular instance, it wasn't intended.
No, bare chest doesn't count as nudity for males. I don't know of a single society that counts a shirtless guy as 'nudity' and the ESRB certainly doesn't either.
Either bare chests is nudity for both, or it is nudity for neither. There is no middle ground that makes sense. The fact there is a middle ground is nothing but a double standard.
