I'm comfortable suggesting that a great many posters here are already in a relationship or in the process of dating, myself included.

No! Electronics will be the future of sexual simulations!
I guess that's a possibility, but not likely. Besides his romance seems really sappy anyway, and written more for female appeal, i'd be rolling my eyes if a guy started treating me like a princess
To be fair the Josephine romance is very 'Disney' in its appeal too and that can be indulged in by both genders. I'd definitely be rolling my eyes too, though - I'd prefer a 'Roman soldier' type romance between two men for a change.
Well, you can have that, go with a Qunari Quizzy and Iron Bull, about as rough, tough manly as it gets.

I'm not particularly interested in Iron Bull. I like conventionally attractive men with realistic proportions. He's not particularly knightly either. ![]()

Which is why I went with iron bull, he treats the inquisitor like a warrior and laughs at the inquisitor when they get too overly romantic, which is why I feel he appeals more to gay players. Love Cullen as a bro but I'd be laughing my ass off if a guy gave me flowers like alistair

What great advice! Because it's not possible to date someone in real life and also enjoy the romance part of this game. *looks at own real life engagement ring* *looks at desktop wallpaper of Cullen* *grins*
Anyway...
I would have loved a bi Cullen as well. ALL of my Inquisitors get along so well with him... he's so damn likable. However I must admit a part of me enjoys the pining/unreconciled romance my male Inquisitor is going through. ![]()
Well....
If a mod ever came out that enables a male inquisitor to have a relationship with Cullen then I want one that will allow my female inquisitor to have one with Dorian.
Fair is fair.
I'm being sarcastic, btw.

No, it's ****ing not. For one thing, the only reason Cullen's not bisexual in the game is because of time limitations. Plus, there is literally nothing in the game (games) that indicate that Cullen identifies as straight. Meanwhile, Dorian's entire personal arc is tied to his homosexuality and how his unwillingness to pretend with a woman means that he is a disappointment and pariah and ostracized by his family.
Ahh BSN, also known as Diet Tumblr,

Thank you!
Considering my post was meant sarcastically (I will edit that momentarily), I would like to pose this question: Why does every character/NPC need to be bi? Don't get me wrong, I have nothing completely against it but is it so wrong to have a completely straight character/NPC to romance?

'Tumblr' is thrown around so often these days that it's effectively lost all meaning.
Thank you!

Well, for one thing, it's a matter of people wanting to access the characters they like in a way that better reflects who they are. For example, I am in actual love with Cassandra Pentaghast, and I am willing to romance her with a male Inquisitor. However, what I really want is to romance her as a female Inquisitor because that's where my heart lies- in the interactions between two amazingly deep and strong female characters. If she were bisexual, it would not take away from those who want to romance her with a man, and it would allow players like me to also have that more personal dynamic.
For another thing, explicit bisexuality is woefully underrepresented in media, and having more realistic depictions of bisexuality anywhere is awesome. In Cullen's case, we already know that he had a crush on the female Amell/Surana, but didn't indicate the same for male Amell/Suranas (and it didn't come up even as something the mages were able to dig out of his subconscious, although that doesn't mean he wasn't attracted to them). Him falling in love with a male Inquisitor could reflect the very real path a lot of bisexual people take, because it's not always a situation where you're equally attracted to men and women, or that you value the same personality traits on a man as you would on a woman. Some types of attraction evolve later. Plus, he would be a different kind of bisexual love interest from what we've gotten before in DA.

Lol! Great advice. Let me go share with my husband.
I'm sure that if the game is able to be modded, there will be a mod to make Cullen bi, just like Alistair in DA:O.
Lol that mod. The dialogue calls you a WOMAN! Why would you want to be called the opposite gender? Just freaking make the right gender to romance the character, I'm not making a male Inquisitor so I can't romance two of the romances and I don't care about asking someone to make some stupid mod to change that.
You can change the lines of code but you cannot change the dialogue unless you get the actor to do more lines XD.

Eh, I guess your right now that I think about it.
While i like that every character has their own preference instead of player sexual, that statement is a bit over blown imo, because the op isn't forcing their sexual preference on someone else, they are wishing a FICTIONAL character to be attracted to their FICTIONAL character. Nothing wrong with wishful thinking.
20$ says if this thread asked for a turn Dorian and or Sera straight/bi mod this place would absolutely lose its mind over forcing a fictional character to be attracted to a certain group.

I said what I did because people write their responses with such passion, but more often with vitriol. Not necessarily here, but I wouldn't be surprised if it happened here eventually. I just think these are fictional characters, and people shouldn't take this so personally.
I find that it's very difficult to have a real conversation on these boards about the characters. People expect you to share and validate their opinions rather than express a different opinion.
Do you like elves? -Prepare for backlash.
Think Cullen should be bi? -Prepare for backlash.
Admire the Qun? - Prepare for backlash.
People react instantly, and really go for comments that have an air of malice to them.
It's better to stick to sarcasm, and general indifference about subjects.

Oh I agree. I always thought the mod was silly too. With Cullen, it might be a bit easier to mod something like that since I don't believe he ever refers to your character's gender as opposed to Alistair who constantly calls the PC a "beautiful woman" and such. Still get a kick out of seeing Alistair say that to a male character though.
Bi-Cullen was cut in the game because time problems most likely so lol I wouldn't take bi-Cullen as wanting to change his sexuality. The game itself still has bi-Cullen voice files!
Anyone know of a mod that will turn Cullen in a bisexual? My IQ is in mad love with him. And what my IQ wants he gets.
Revert your game to 1.0 and hope for the IQ sex bug.
