Bi-Cullen was cut in the game because time problems most likely so lol I wouldn't take bi-Cullen as wanting to change his sexuality. The game itself still has bi-Cullen voice files!

It's possibility as well. However Cullen was extra romance added in the game during last year of development and his race-gating seemed also be merely because of time issues as well. Also it seems like he was thought of being bi quite much since voice files even involve other characters like Dorian commenting on male Inquisitors relationship with Cullen.

i do remember that Gaider (I think) mentioned at GaymerX that there was a character that was going to be bisexual, but it just wasn't working for the character. I don't think that they elaborated on it; it was in the panel where they discussed creating LGBT characters, I think. I don't have the exact link, though.
If that's the case, I suspect that it was Cullen who they were referring to and that it had something to do with the fact that he wasn't interested in a male Amell/Surana. That's my gut on it (which might be completely wrong

With regard to Cullen, I was disappointed when he was announced as straight, but I had suspected it given that he was only interested in female Amell/Surana in DA: O and, for some reason, the DA team has made all of the male knight in shining armor types straight. When I found out that he was written as bisexual in DA: I and that content was cut, I was really, really disappointed because he's the exact type of romance that I have been waiting for through many games.
But as I thought about it, I'm okay with it. Obviously, I trust the writers with their characters. If they say that it wasn't working for his story, then I support them. The fact that they were thinking about making a m/m knight in shining armor type in this game gives me hope that we'll get one in the next game. With regard to patching in or modding Cullen's sexuality, I'm not in favor of it. The character has been created and he is what he is. I'd rather they focus on fixing bugged content and creating awesome DLCs. And, of course, creating an awesome DA 4.
Cullen doesn't strike as being bisexual. As a matter of fact, most people don't.
Most people kissed someone from the same sex once and already believe this is solid evidence that they're bisexual. Some have not even gone that far and announce their bisexuality as well.
All of them teenagers trying to have people's attention, of course. Lots of imagination, very little real-life experience. If 99% actually were dragged to bed by someone who believed they had half the experience they say they have, they'd run in fear.

Yes I have heard this as well and it might be about Cullen. He might be also cut for both reason, that they didn't have enough time and didn't though m/m romance would work well with him. I'm still puzzled why they left his m/m voice files in the actual game though ^^; Well, anyways bummer that bisexual Cullen didn't stay though.

I do not understand why people cannot respect what is done to the characters IN game. I applaud Bioware for going this route- giving each character their own sexual preference. I thought it was ridiculous that in DA2 everyone was BI.
I have said this before and will say it again: I am glad Bioware chose not to go forward with their original plan and make Cullen Bi. It does go against his character.
If Cullen was bisexual I certainly would not have played much less paid for this game.
If someone in real life was gay and had no interest in females, I would gladly respect that. Just as I respect the preferences in this game.

No, it's ****ing not. For one thing, the only reason Cullen's not bisexual in the game is because of time limitations. Plus, there is literally nothing in the game (games) that indicate that Cullen identifies as straight. Meanwhile, Dorian's entire personal arc is tied to his homosexuality and how his unwillingness to pretend with a woman means that he is a disappointment and pariah and ostracized by his family.
