So I am huge fan of the "Post your Inquisitor here" thread.  But it got me thinking, so many of us have been posting inquisitors as we make them, I forget who created which one.  I thought it would be cool to have a thread where you put them all together so we can see them in one easy post.  It's also interesting to see trends across your inquisitors.  I, apparently, have a thing for freckles......

 

I'll go first.  I made one of each starting class (two warriors, two rogues, and one mage) and all are either qunari or dwarves.  I've finished with Talan and Graeme (I'm replaying Talan now that I'm on Xbox One).  Now I'm working on finishing with Agathe.  Then I'll move on to playing Finnlagh and Meraad in earnest.  Anyway, here they are:

Your inquisititors all look very diverse: ) But I like that your guys all look manly ) and your qunari gal is great.
That's a fun thread so I am joinin. It would b interesting to see them altogether for myself. And I like posting pics: )
My first one, Simirketh, she is the only one by far who has finished the story. I am not 100% happy with her, but she's like family now, so she stays. She is a mage, and romanced Cullen. But I wanna replay her and throw her at Solas. Cause I guess I won't be making female elves anymore.

My second was Islay, for a hard playthrough. Two handed. I am still not sure about him, so he is chillin in Haven. If I decide to continue he'll be a Dorian's kind of guy.

Cernunnos. My much beloved s$s, who's got a bit depressed over his tal-vashoth wardrobe in game after meeting iron bull and decided to take a break. Also he's my nightmare pT, so he and Cassandra will have to wait till I finish my human girl.

My last one, Shea. Hard pt. Dual wielding rogue and my Cullen canon romance. I was struggling many times to get a human girl I want, and by that point was just meddling with sliders for fun, thus the hair. But I like her very much now. She's not a beauty, But the more I play the more I like her and her "whatever" facial expression(mostly): )

My canon Inquisitor, Lyna Lavellan. Knight Enchanter, romancing Solas. Friendly, good-humoured, kind of an oddball. Spent her life beforehand running around forests collecting bugs and flowers or something. Can't be helped.

After bouncing around the 200+ pages of the other thread, yeah, I see what you mean xD.  And it is nifty seeing those who've been making toons over the course of months, and how they change over time.  Or sometimes don't!  I posted there, but if this is where everyone is now, then i have less pages to read, harhar.

 

I tend to make a pile of characters around the same time, and then play whichever class or story I feel like advancing at the moment, so I made these all close together.

 

Click thumbnails for full-sized (these are all from the game engine using stupid camera-stuck-on-wall tricks, maybe I'll try to capture some cinematics of them):

 

Maxwell, human rogue.  It's the default name but he looks like a Maxwell.  I wanted him to be somewhat weasely.

 

 

I have a cunning plan...

 

Thorsen, dwarven warrior.  Yeah, I went for a beard.  I hold out hope that one day they'll look better, but this didn't come out too shabby, I think.

Seriously, I like the range of them, and as a big fan of Dwarves in general yours looks right to me.  Bushy moustaches accepted and encouraged, but "totally clean shaven" still looks odd to me, except for Varric and his eternal scruff.

This might be easier to show with a video, but...

 

Image tutorial time!

 

First off, unless the whole scene is what you're showing, please crop the silly thing.  You can do this in MS Paint under accessories, don't need Photoshop or anything.   (I use GIMP for image editing, it's 100% free open source software.)

 

Open your screenshot in Paint or GIMP or Photoshop or whatever.  Crop it down if needed.  Export or Save As... so it's a smaller (usually) file, and name it something that makes sense so you can find it later without browsing previews (DAI_My-mage.png etc.).  Save it to My Documents/Pictures or somewhere outside the screenshots directory, so it's easy to find.

 

Go to imgur or a similar service.  Imgur is great because you just upload something, click on it in your gallery, and it provides you with a list of links on the right.  Click on and CTRL-C copy the "Direct Link (Email & IM)."

 

Now, this part do slowly the first time, once you do it a couple times it will be easier to remember.  This isn't the only way but IMHO the cleanest and best way to show off large shots without having to resize the forum page.

 

Go to the post you want the screen shot in.  Paste the link you just copied twice on two different lines, like this:

(I put spaces in the HTTP so the forum wouldn't turn them into links when I post this.  Don't do that, just paste them normally.)

Now you have to add an s to the file name of the top one only, before the .png, after the string of letters and numbers, so you have this:

Now copy the top one with the "s" and leave it highlighted.   With that line highlighted, look up at the editor bar and click the Image icon.  It's to the left of the Code button (which looks like < > ).  A window will pop up asking for a URL; CTRL-V paste your URL with the s on the end into it and hit OK.  This will happen, with the second link still below it (with no S):

Almost done!  You have a thumbnail but it isn't a link to the full-size image yet.

Copy the s-less link, then click your little image so it is highlighted, then click the Link button in the editor bar, which is the chainlink with a green ball and is two buttons left of the Image icon you clicked a moment ago.

 

Another window will pop up.  Ignore the drop-downs and just paste the URL into the text line, then click OK.  You won't see anything different on the screen, but that is it.  You can now delete the text of the URL that is below the thumbnail.

 

You can't see that it's there, but the thumbnail is now a link to the full-sized image on Imgur, which when clicked will open it in a new tab and leave your forums tab alone:

 

 

Tada!  It takes a few minutes to run through the steps for a picture, but once you do it a couple times it'll be easy to share, and forum viewers will be able to see a full-sized shot that doesn't exceed the forums window.

Saffron Adaar (I made her way back when people were complaining that a decent looking (conventionally attractive) qunari was impossible. She's not really what I would have wanted my qunari to look like, but I stuck to it) - Rift mage; scholarly and thoughtful (a "Dana Scully" type), romanced Sera but DUMPED HER. Saffron seeks knowledge and learns from mistakes. She and Sera were too different on this point.

I think I've exhausted the conventionally attractive look. So now I'm interested in messing around with the CC to create plainQuisitors, fugQuisitors, oldQuisitors, nerdQuisitors, or oddQuisitors, etc.

 

creepQuisitor: "Dinruil Lavellan" - Necromancer-mage; Keeper Lavellan sent Dinruil to spy on the Conclave just to get rid of her. Before word of the Breach spread, the clan was preparing to be gone by the time she would have returned.  She roamed ancient elven graveyards at night, and kept her camp area stocked full of small, dead animals. She had names for all of them, and would sing lullabies (poorly) to them before bed. She made all of her Dalish clan uneasy. She makes everyone in the Inquisition uncomfortable as well. Instead of talking to companions, she can be spied in corners muttering (supposedly) to herself. Other times, someone like Cassandra will just turn around, and Dinruil is right behind her. "Thank you for killing so many people today," she'll whisper, "I have so many new friends." She doesn't seem to understand that she is an elf or that humans, qunari and dwarves exist. There are only dead, undead, and not dead.

Catrin Lavellan (v.2) - S&S Warrior / Templar / Catrin is a respected, experienced hunter in her 60s (Dalish elves live longer than city elves, and I reckon they don't show their age like other races do, but I still tried to make Catrin look mature and somewhat middle-aged). She reluctantly takes up the mantle of Herald and Inquisitor, but she'd much rather return to her clan. She's tough, no-nonsense, and just wants to beat you-know-who and go home already. / Possibly Cullen romance.

My attempt resulted in a failed romance. It's very difficult if you are staying true to the character--scholarly; patient; willing to learn, grow and change if shown a better way; acts on evidence-based proof--there just didn't seem to be a way for my Saffron to continue her romance with Sera without going out of character.

Yeah, that might very well happen.  Meraad is currently sitting at a camp in The Hinterlands.  I'm going to finish my ranged rogue first, so I've got time to think about it and adjust.  To be honest, I actually kind of dig the idea of a lady Inquisitor (particularly a non-human lady) dueling for Josephine's honor (it's cheesy, but I think my love of chivalry and 'knight in shining armor' tropes precedes me at this point).  I might have Meraad flirt a bit with both of them and then realize that Josephine's slow-burn romance is what she's looking for.

My first inquisitor I managed to actually play with (the first one had a horrible biting problem, it took me a while to get used to the cc.) Janae Trevelyan, a rift mage, romantic interest Cullen. Her eyes still were a bit weird but I was able to live with that.

Third one was my qunari twin-blades assassin, Kaaras Adaar (I liked the name so I didn't change it). He has a weak spot for Dorian. Sadly, I don't have many pics of him where he isn't pulling a face.

I do seriously wonder a bit at Josie though. If you ask a non-romanced Josie about Blackwall she says it can only remain an unrequited love because of the class difference, but.................. it's okay for her to romance a qunari/dwarf/elf--and a female one at that?! I thought nobility were the only ones who actually married the opposite sex because of inheritance issues. Methinks Bioware maybe forgot that it. Weird. Regardless, I prefer the idea of a non-human s/s romance with Josie.

Here are mine. Two have been completed & relegated to the cloud (human female S&S, elven female mage-KE).  Below are in various stages.

 

I really suck at names. And to be honest, I don't really RP to any great extent (hell, hardly anything at all), but I'll give them some backstories.

 

Capability Trevelyan: Scion of a minor and withering branch of the 8th most illustrious family of Ostwick. Her Grandmother is the true power of this branch. Granny can't believe her luck that her granddaughter has been declared the Herald of Andraste. An entire season of soirees are being organised as we speak. Childhood spent unhappily adopted into a major branch of the family. Finds family life..tiring and is glad to be away from Ostwick.
- Likes: Axes, low brow wine.
- Is: Extremely capable.
- Romances: Blackwall.

Selena Lavellan (aka Patchy): Most of the clan treats her with suspicion, but a good friend of the Keeper. Once had thing with a human mage which left her devestated. Keeps to herself. Frequently acused of looking too sad, counters with: this is my face! (And my animation!).
- Specialisation: Rift mage.
- Admires: The Keeper, Orelsian pâtissiers.
- Romances: Cullen.

Galahad Trevelyan: Wastrel third son. Not even the spare. Good-hearted parents still despair. Has spent a bit of time travelling. Older brothers are much better at everything, except dagger proficiency, gambling & wh0r@e houses (wow that's censored!). Little interest in being the Herald of Andraste (finds it frankly unbelievable). Has no idea what his family were thinking sending him to the Conclave; they were all too busy apparently. But he didn't have anything else going, plus his brother threatened to disinherit him if he didn't go (and leave that Rivanni woman).
- Likes: Cassandra.
- Dislikes: His name.
- Romances: Cassandra.
