Storage Chest at Skyhold has to happen....it just does.  It's a no brainer.

I'm guessing it will be included in a paid DLC at some point, similar to the Warden's Keep chest... that might even be the reason it's not included in the base game.  I'm having a hard time wrapping my mind around a gigantic fortress having no means of storing spare equipment or that they forgot this would be important after adding it to DA:O and including it by default in DA2, so I can only assume that they purposefully left it out.

Yes please! And I really think it should be in a free patch.

In a game of this scale, and being so much about leading your very own huge keep- having a "customizable" castle you can`t even leave stuff in is like having companions you would not be able to talk to. Not many companies would dare to ask money for a "now you can talk to your companions DLC" either....I think :P

There are another dozen or so threads on storage already.

And there should be a dozen more.

Notice there is no facility in game to allow transfer from one container to another? All chests you loot from are a one time only transfer, like with corpse looting.

It wasn't just overlooked, it was purposefully left out. No idea why. I'm not even going to try to blame it on controller UI.

In all of Skyhold keep there is no where to store items. This is very annoying. What if we find items we want to keep, but don't want to have to worry about selling it or it taking up inventory space every time we open our inventory. Or if you have multiple sets of armor for dragon hunting(Fire, Ice, Lightning resistances), or any other different sets you have for your party. I would like to see a chest for storage in the inquisitiors quarters.

Yeah, I wanted storage for a while. Then I realized the this game is so easy that you really don't need to worry that you'll actually need anything in particular. So don't worry about it. Just sell anything you don't see a pretty much immediate use for and be done with it. I did that and never had any issues even on Nightmare. Eventually I didn't even bother to keep the "best" items, but rather just kept the armor, weapons, shields etc. that I felt looked best, because past about level 10 you are so overpowered that nothing is a challenge.

I would agree it would be nice, but after 80+ hours of play, I  personally have found no compelling need for it .

The devs went through the trouble of creating an entire basement in Skyhold. An empty basement (with a dusty library). A number of empty and pointless rooms...All stuff that adds absolutely zero value or function to the game.

But even after the experience of previous DA games in which it was made very clear that a lot of people want to have a storage facility, which Bioware then promptly provided in DLC, as well as (GASP!) DA2, for some unknown reason this is completely missing in their biggest game yet.

It just boggles the mind...

Being able to sort by armor rating/attack rating would also be nice. The inventory screen is a mess, especially when selling equipment.

i think it has a lot to do with the fact that this game was originally designed as an MMO and then changed to a regular RPG some where late in development. or it was one of the many things they chose to cut from the game because they ran out of time/funding. you can tell just by the design of skyhold that one was originally planed either in the basement or the dungeon but was cut like a lot of stuff. personally I blame EA for this issue like I blame them for all issues in games made where they control the development company/ force multiplayer into.
