Yup. I got both chests, plenty of stuff. Rares and even some uniques. Daggers, a staff, two-handed weapons, a shield.

OF COURSE Hunter (which I only don't play when there's no tank, or at least 2 other rangers already) being my favourite character by far, none of those were bows. Again. At least the RNG has enough moral leverage on me to not drop any for the next 10 years to come either, which is just great. There's people playing for a week using LBOTGs and PBTMs to practice juggling, and I'm stuck with a lvl 14 common shortbow since release.

P.S.: Yes, that's exactly how it works, shut up. Don't ruin my entitled grumpiness with your reason.

Yah, couple of blues I didn't need. "A victory indeed."

There's an expectation issue here.

Your party member will open a routine chest containing 31 gold pieces and go:

'Amazing !!'

:D

I got one blue sword I had never seen before and have decided to keep it and give it a whirl.  It's nothing too great but one handed weapons and shield are not that great overall, at least I have not found anything great so far.

got 2 blues, 1 purple. blues were around level 15. purple was level 10. rest were greys. was barely better than a commendation chest. not too annoyed as it was a chest that wasn't really much effort to achieve.

my best drop in the last few days was in the small 270 gold chest where I got a 10% attack ring, lol...

I think the best way forward is to add an additional weekend chest that is a lot harder to achieve and make it drop a single guaranteed level 20+ weapon or accessory. somewhat similar to how destiny pretty much guarantees a "exotic" level drop when you play the hardest weekly strike.

that way you can keep the screwy rng chests but over time people can at least build up some nice gear no matter how harsh rng is being to them.

Dual chests of disappointment... Don't even remember what was in the first one, nothing that wasn't immediately recycled. Victory pack has a level 13 rare aoe dagger with stamina on kill, and a level 16 sword that's not great. Frankly, best thing is the level 19 battlemaster coat legs, 12% ranged defense. Oh, also two jars of bees.
