Well, I got my 25 chest but, it seems like the PS 3 community is starting to give up. I can hardly find any other games I have been forced to solo several matches...Come on P3 players let's kick some ass!

 

How many chests have PS3 opened so far in total, can you see?

Apparently, you can lose chest progress. My total number went down between games.

PS4's at 53163 chests.  How are other systems holding up?

atleast the gold, and chests stil count.. But out of my last 10 pugs, ive only gotten exp for 3 or 4 of them..

 

The key bug is worse than ever!!!    2/3 of my games are a complete waste of time, since they bug out.. un-friggin-real... where i sthe professionalism? And not a single one of my groups ever have an elementalist!

PS4 was at 39,000 or so when I signed off at 7:00pm to go have dinner. It's been roughly 1.5 hours and the HQ says we are now at 53,000 some-odd chests.

I have 11 chests to my name at the moment and am about to sign back in and dive into some more.

Wait, so did I understand this correctly - for the individual challenge, you've got to be in the same party (or at least lobby) until you've gotten 25 chests? Because my internet connection went down when I had 22/25, and then when I started over in a new lobby it stayed at 22. I did a couple of matches, and then - key glitch! Nooooo! Had to quit and hope the others could get it, at least. So do I have to start over and get 25 chests again in a new lobby?

No, it's a cumulative tally. You just need to have you or someone in your current party unlock 25 chests as you play... this can be achieved hopping lobbies after every game, if you like. You just have to unlock it yourself or be present during the unlocking.

No, it doesn't matter if you switch parties.

 

The description only means that you don't have to open the chest yourself, as long as you're in the party when someone else does, it will count.  'd

 

However, it is buggy. Your progress can get stuck, and stop updating when chests are opened.

Wow, i thought it was a 50k event.. i just realized its 250k!!!  Not a chance in hell... IN the last hour, its been about 2-3k chests...250k per platform...  i bit overzealous were we there EAware?

Not all platforms have the same requirements.

 

And so far, the pace is a good percentage ahead of what is required to complete the challenge.

 

Even if things slow down overnight, the weekend is likely to have higher activity than a weekday. I wouldn't declare it a failure within hours of it having started on the basis of what you saw in one hour. They have telemetric data dating back to the first day it went live. You don't.

Did my part today. Opened 32 chests and that's just with about 2 hours playtime. Will clock a lot more on the weekend. PS4 currently at around 69,000 (hurr hurr hurr).

 

PUG'd into a friend (MrDbow) for a few matches, which was nice surprise. Then joined Yumi for my last match of the night, only to get to Wave 2 and have the EA server spit me out. Was kinda funny, because that always happened to me on ME3MP, too. I'd play for hours, have no problems, then be all, "Okay, friends, I have time for one more." And inevitably I'd either lose Internet long enough to drop out or have an EA server choke me out. Or, in the case of ME3MP, some of my last matches would have the awesome luck of Collectors on PS3, so I'd hard freeze around Wave 8/9.

 

It's... actually almost heart-warming that the last match screw-up tradition continues. There's a continuity there. 

 

One day, I will learn to just say goodbye post-match and bail, rather than give a heads up that it's last call for me.
